  • Campervan Conversion in minutes of a Volkswagen T6 Caravelle Long Wheel Base.
    The Caravelle represents outstanding value and is far better suited to long distance touring and camping than a regular Transporter

    It is really interesting to see how the seat config differs between UK and Oz. Our triple bench wont sit on the fourth row like yours as it doesnt have a cut out on the side so hits the HVAC system. Also our doubles dont have armrests and we usually have a folding tilting single seat in the 2nd row.

    Love your work Mark. Having recently purchased your rock sliders and recovery points i must say I am impressed with the quality of your products. Keep up the good work and if anyone is interested in good quality after market gear I strongly recommend they check out your products.

    Looks like a really handy, simple kit - I assume this would fit the short wheel base also?

    I really like that build. Minimal construction required. Does this also work for the short wheel base? Is something similar available in Europe?

    Australia must be seen off this model in the UK is the lwb Shuttle Se, the Caravelle has a sliding seat system for all rear seat rows like the California, I’d like to see the area left on n the floor properly in front of the seat folded and bed in use in considering doing this to a shuttle and could go directly to Germany to order

    • @FamilyStartUp
      @FamilyStartUp Před 5 lety +1

      Caravelle has NO sliding seat system unfortunately. It is available only in California or in Multivan.
      In case of Caravelle I use it a lot for sleeping inside during long trips.
      I have 9 seats and long wheel base.
      So I put all 3 rows of seats down, put there air mattress and it becomes longer than 2 meters bed :) 10 minutes and ready to use ;) In combination with heating works perfect even if it is cold outside (I travel in EU only).

    what kind of frying pan is that?

    Muy buen simple sistema pero todo es con buen tiempo. La cocina afuera esta bien y demás, pero en otoño en Europa o en verano seria poco práctico. Quizás el asiento corredizo montado en angulares y las gavetas con la opción de abrir también hacia adentro.

    good job ! looks good and i bet really ideal for australia - i am willing to guess any of the negative comments here are from observers in the UK / Europe who pay much much much higher prices for conversions and due to the climate have different ( more expensive) needs - nice work.

    Nice set. From the practical point of view, I wonder if the refrigerator should not have some free space for ventilation? Isn't the fully loaded fridge too heavy for the pull-out drawer?

    • @VanEssamobilcampingAustralia
      @VanEssamobilcampingAustralia Před 5 lety

      The fridge is correctly ventilated. Drawer slides are designed for a fully loaded fridge.

    • @xangodango
      @xangodango Před 5 lety +2

      @@VanEssamobilcampingAustralia yeah but the whole unit is held down by just two (front) bolts so the fridge is putting a lot of strain on those - the whole unit wants to tip forwards and theres not much stopping it.

      @user-mj6sl9qv8j Před 2 lety

      depends on how you're using it right? for us the main benefit of having it all in one small van is we use it so much more, including short notice weekend trips, up twisty mountains, stop-overs on motorways - a trailer would be too much hassle for us.

    Not a good solution. You can only cook outdoors
    The seat still takes up a terrible amount of room.
    Diesel burners would be better
    The front seats don't swivel in to the cabin
    There's just so many things wrong with this set-up

    • @VanEssamobilcampingAustralia
      @VanEssamobilcampingAustralia Před 5 lety +1

      In Australia almost everyone wants to cook outdoors. If in a cooler climate our Interior module makes more sense for cooking.
      Also, regarding the seats, the bed system may operate independently of the seats, and therefore the seats do not need to be in place if they are not required.
