The same situation happened with my ex boss. She was nice until she wasn't anymore. She expected me to contribute more with the same salary, no extras whatsoever. And she was like "show me your attitude that you want to work for us and we'll grand you your benefit".
I refused that offer, stayed with the same amount of contributions for another 2 months, and she finally kicked me out, saying i was not worth the pay :v
She told me that i wasn't working from my heart.

Even in a business, some customers always think your work should be free, yet they think their position is worth a mint. Such customers or employers aren't worth it. Let them do what they wamted you to do--it won't happen as most are just useless MBAs, lawyers, bean counters, sales, or some other useless professional.

Internship is a word that will get you into a position that will may need, it’s also how you earn experience. Tho most of people do need that money right away, I can understand that running head first into some jobs without the experience and just the degree isn’t always better.
Unpaid Internships are bullshit, wanna train some newbie, fucking pay them. Nobody is at work for free, when I wanna grind experience I play an MMO, I work to pay bills. If a job needs to be done then it needs to be paid for that's called life. If a business can't afford to pay it's employees then frankly, fuck that business.
Interns are a corporation scam why not make it apprenticeship so u get paid learn and get experience
