Games about WW2 then: “Yeah, we put Soviet Union in our game, it suffered a lot during that war”
Games about WW2 now: “What is Soviet Union?”
Well in cod ww2 they said about russians in the zombies mode
I am from Russia ... and it is very sad that the work of our ancestors is not appreciated outside our country.

Yeah

"Grenades are too op in this"
That is an understatement especially on veteran
Yep I died at least 70 times
In the last japan mission a grenade spammer targeted me for like 2 minutes and if i stopped i woulda died
As the 5 granades under your feet: yes
This game turn into Call of Grenades when played on Veteran.
The amount of grenades they throw is just ridiculous
Soviet anthem ending is most satisfying things ever
All the more satisfying after doing a Veteran Run
YES
Especially on console because they did the ending different by slowing it down to the music. It looks beautiful

That excerpt from Chernov’s diary you hear at the beginning of the last mission actually changes depending on how you play the game. The more mercy you show towards wounded/surrendering German soldiers throughout the game, the better his perception of you will be.
Damn bro, I’ve never noticed that
I discovered that years ago, it was amazing that little detail.
The more you know even when the game came out...holysh*t 2008 Godd*mn it's been 12 yrs
"...maybe hero's need not question their actions..."
I got the merciful one, even though I only used melee as the Russians lol

Roebuck was a homie
Roebuck*
flynn mayne i spelt it wrong🤣
Rodbuck is dimpsey right?
Captain Macmillan Polonsky is the one that looks like Dempsey. All the WaW characters reused campaign character models.
The voice for Reznov is actually Gary Oldman
What
There’s really funny interview between Graham Norton and Gary Oldman, czcams.com/video/dYVzaG0B0qY/video.html
Yep, Reznov is Gary Oldman. Such a great actor
And Roebuck's voice actor is Keifer Sutherland.
Legend
I feel like the Russian part was the most worked on
Well if you watch TheActman game review, he mentioned that USMC campaign going more for gameplay while Russian campaign more towards stories with standard 'shoot behind cover' scenario
@ agreed, i hope we have much more russian perspective in ww2...The only game that shows so much of russian is Company if Heroes 2 which i know only one xD
TwoFox Plays The earlier WWII cods almost all have Russian Campaigns as well.
Well as Act Man put it. America is fun and Russians are for story.
@@TwoFoxPlays Red orchestra 2
RIP Roebuck.
When I played, Polonsky died.
It's so sad yet well written that at least one of them would die
I didn’t thought that this would be possible to happen, choosing to save one of them. I thought that was scripted that Polonsky death, well I’m surprised.
I never realised that you could choose who to save. I've played this over 10 times probably, and I always thought that the same guy dies everytime.
Me and a friend tried to save them both and the game broke
You can easily save them both by lining the two soldiers up, theres even an achievement for it
@@yuriaraujo4581 If you don't do anything, Roebuck dies and Polonsky does a cool animation, killing his captor with a helmet I think.
That last mission turned Luke's water into Vodka.
The russians waving the flag of ussr on the roof of Reichstag is certainly one of the most glorious moment in history. When the world united with the same goal to defeat their enemy. The cold war is a such a shame
Cold War was perpetrated by them and their disgusting ideology
Unfortunately all the Allied leaders were in it for their own selfish desires
WaW's unconventional Call of Duty OST is so freakin great man.
Loved the russian theme
@@eduardosotogutierrez1457 it's awesome
An appropriate dark and gloomy soundtrack for a dark and gloomy game, set in a war that was in real life was one of the darkest and brutal periods in our history.
Roebuck: "we pray they dont slit our throats"
Luke: "thicc boi"
it frustrates me so much to see the options like “get on turret” or “refill ammo” pop up so much and he doesn’t do it bro
Technically speaking man, he's still new, and he's trying his best to get 3 missions in 1 hour. I'm sure he notices, just too over focused on one thing to see
@@lolnou2225 Maybe that's why he takes so long per mission. His tunnel vision kills him.
it doesnt frustrate me cuz you will die either way in the blink of an eye on veteran

the last mission is amazing
“The story wasn’t that fulfilling”... just you wait my friend. Picture this game as a prelude to the black ops series. Black ops 1 story is nuts. Excited to see you play! THE NUMBERS MASON. WHAT DO THEY MEAN!
It won’t be that fun cause he dosnt listen too dialogue
Ian Malcolm *Off*
Reznov is still the best character of cod history
Yeah he doesnt usually listen to the dialogue and you have to take into account that there isnt really a diverging story. It is a story of WW2, the events that transpired into game format so the story isnt going to be "fulfilling" as it isnt really a story as we generally percieve a "story" as.
Fun fact for Black Ops 1 @OriginalHuman, Joseph Bowman (a main character) is voiced by Ice Cube and has the face model of him too.
Enenra bruh I’ve played the campaign so many times and never noticed
Ice cube is a really good actor. He should return for cod 2020
No way

1:16:10 I'll be completely honest, i'm 27 years old, and this moment ALWAYS brings literal tears to my eyes. You have no idea what kind of a masterpiece you played. Even though graphics and movement aren't the best, the rest is simply amazingly done. It brings tears to my eyes simply because of most what was said in the ending cutscenes of real life speech by president Truman and general Macarthur. It really touches me deep in the heart, with all the respect of millions of lifes being lost in World War II; every solder (weak, strong, intelligent, clumsy, brave, tall, short, with all their unique characters and other life difficulties) who gave their lifes for ALL OF US and especially our grandparents who managed to survive the horrors during those 6 years and 1 day, they must NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, and all my thoughs to ALL victims of innocent civilians, women and children who got brutally executed by Nazi's and other evil organisations, and to ALL innocent Jews during Holocaust era!
This game hides something very special in it. Call of Duty: World War II is great, but it doesn't have this spirit and gameplay feeling how horrific and brutal World War II actually was.
Respect
Like yes dude when i was playing this masterpiece and upon seeing soviet soldiers being executed in cold blood, i could feel all these emotions and vengeance rising within me, but the last two cutscenes broke me. This game's story, writing and cutscenes are nothing less than spectacular

After finishing black ops I recommend you to play Battlefield 1. Great game, historycally based (WW1). It's interesting, considering what you said now about the character development, in Battlefield 's war stories you can "fall in love" with the characters. After my years of Call of Duty, Battlefield 1 felt so refreshing! Plese watch the reveal trailer (game was published 2017.)

After BO2 of course!

Spray and pray guys spray and pray
Also him: why do I keep dying?
Imagine being in iwo jima walking peacefully and then the last thing you hear is tenoheika banzai (forgive me if i mispelled it)
At that point in the war banzai charges were pretty rare. Peleliu they changed tactics to more of making different heavily defended lines and staying there as long as they could then pulling back and doing it all over again
I’m struggling to find the possibility of walking peacefully on Iwo Jima. I mean, it’s a five-mile island that took months to take. There were cases of people sitting down behind the front lines and getting hit by an artillery shell. Not much peace there. Plus, the general there actually condemned banzai charges, and was far more strategic, making use of the highly trained soldiers. Once he committed suicide, his men got pretty desperate, as far as attacking the rear forces with literal bamboo sticks.
"Halo theme"
It hurts my soul when you say that xD
What’s kinda cool about waw an bo1 an some of the older cod’s is they actually aimed to teach you a little bit about history an not just being a shooter
Can’t wait for bo1 and bo2 I know he’s going to love it
Bo3 also exciting story mate
Trap 4 Days exactly he’s just too stupid not to understand it
KeyPrestige The story just isn’t good imo. I understand the twist, but the game hides too much information from the player throughout the actual game for it to actually be engaging. One of the best parts of the Blacks Ops games to me was the historical context as well. Removing that made the story much less interesting. The characters are also some of the most forgettable in the series.
@@Trap4DaysOfficial nah Black Ops 4 story is godly mate
ThanosTheGrape 😂😂😂
Chernov was prolly one of the top 10 saddest deaths in the series
Black Ops has an amazing story, can’t wait for you to play it.
Play Brothers in Arms - Hells Highway, it's a tactical game
He would be better served with first 2 Brothers in Arms first.
I remember playing that when I was like 11 lol
Sweet Brazy N is the game good? Been wanting to play tactical shooters for a while for the realism. Lemme know
Nothing like playing Hell's Highway on Authentic just because. I don't think I can go back to the other difficulties.
Really enjoyed watching you play! As someone who played W@W countless times on every difficulty when I was younger, there are a couple points I want to make.
1. The grenade spam gets more crazy the higher the difficulty. If you played on an easier setting, they wouldn't be so ridiculous haha. The difficulty in this game gets more and more brutal the higher you go. On Veteran, the grenades just seem to spawn next to you constantly (very annoying)
2. There were a few missions that you made a little harder for yourself. For example, The mission where you are in the trenches and your squad keeps warning you that there are enemies in the trees, you are supposed to burn all the trees as you move along, otherwise you will continuously get taken out.
3. As for some of the movement issues you ran into, usually you ran into this when you were using LMGs and the flamethrower, which drastically slow you down.
Love your channel, man. Keep it up.
Should play all the zombie maps you can, would be pretty interesting
I agree! Imagine he played Verrückt with 3 others. That map is freaky and hard
I see you’re a man of culture with the lex profile pic
Maybe he could even do custom zombie maps
As a curious fact, World At War was the first Call Of Duty to implement the decision system that will be exploited more deeper in Black Ops II in 2012. Not only is presented in the direct form of choosing to save Polonsky or Roebuck during the Japanese Castle Siege, but also in the perception of Chernov towards Dimitri during the russian campaign.
If you spare more Germans, his diary will depict you as a true hero to his eyes. But as more you become a killer machine like Reznov, without NOTHING of compassion towards the enemy, he will saw you worse, more like a monster.
It represents how Chernov was of the few russians who stayed cool during the entire war even in it's darkest hours. The russians took the siege of Germany very personal, as a form of revenge towards them. If you remember, not even surrendering helped to survive, you will still receive a bullet in your head. You can decide if Dimitri share his behavior, or fell to his bloodlust side.
Indepently of what World At War did good or wrong, is not questionable this is the most gritty, eerie and darkest Call Of Duty every produced. One that although maintain the "Hollywood ambience" of a war movie, makes an effort to show you that war is not something to glorify. War is horrible, and should be avoided at all costs.

My mind:
"Hello"
"Have you seen me"

BTW you can save Roebuck by shooting at the guy holding him ;)
Then the other dies
Then polonsky dies
Well “the”, of course, but it’s a first time play through but not like it really matters unless he wanted the achievement but I highly doubt it
IM SO HAPPY YOU PLAYED THIS! And thank you for attempting Nazi Zombies! I remember when I first played this I almost pooped myself. Can’t wait for future uploads
when I saw the ending of WaW it made me cry and Rezenov was such a great character.
god I miss old times...
Your stream is probably one of the best I’ve seen. I really enjoyed watching
That ending never gets old it's so epic, Can not wait for the Black ops series
On veteran, the grenades are even worse. I one time had 9 grenades land on my position back to back on Heart of the Reich.
You mentioned the OG games during the credits, but said you probably won't go there. I and actually many here would actually recommend playing 1, UO, 2 and 3.
What I'd add to this is, these 4 games have interconnected stories, and you will see the same characters appear among the 4 games. They touch on WW2 theathers other CoD games do not.
Thanks for the series!
one of my favourite COD's of all time
Just wait for BO1 & BO2, u will enjoy and someone you might recognise is in it.
Look forward to it.
this game is about being in army and fighting wars not making friends and make you attach to a character. its more attach to your army and fight for homeland so the story is 10/10
I agree with your final thoughts, it was an amazing game but a few little things stopped it from being the best. Great playthrough, I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting this game with you! :)
Sadly, the castle which you were fighting in on the first mission of thise video (Shuri Castle, Okinawa; a true treasure of the people of Okinawa - and Japan) burnt down just last year due to a works fault, a world heritage site disappeared overnight. I had the pleasure of visiting it and seeing it before this happened last year and it was truly spectacular; it looked almost identical to this depiction in the game (just renovated and freshly painted).
Tolkien wrote "The Hobbit" for his kids in the years after WWI, it was published in 1932. "The Lord of the Rings" was written between the mid-30s and the mid 50s (when it was published) and both wars had a little bit of an influence on this. Theya re not the only two booke who wrote either, there are many tales from Middle Earth and its history written by Tolkien - and they are all worth a read!
You should play Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC after you finish Black Ops 2! It would be really interesting to see your knowledge of modern war applied to a futuristic sci-fi setting.
Every time I run out of ammo on the PPSh during Russian missions I actually feel sad. It's SUCH a good gun in this game, regardless of how it really performs irl.
Jay Strun even irl it was favored that German soldiers would scavenge what they could, and some manufacturers saw the potential to the point they even rechambered captured PPSH for 9mm parabellum.
I felt sad because I had to kill my comerades to get more ammo. Don't regret though
Enemies in this game reminds me the military in Half Life, loving granade...

So happy to hear about the first WZ victory!!
COD World At War was the first ever Cod game I watched and played even though it was already old. For me it's up there with Black Ops I and II, because it still is that good to this day. COD WWII isn't that bad either, but I'd still place World at War ahead of those games.
Yeeesss! Please play more zombies on twitch. I would love to see that!

Playing zombies with your viewers would be so awesome. You are the BEST youtuber btw!
I remember back in 2008 in the middle of the night at 2am me staying up on the weekend to finish this game. I didn’t know this was in the game and as a kid back then I was legitimately scared. And that laugh didn’t make it better

I hope you become more observant about the dialogue and the objectives and other stuff happening around that I see but you don't because I don't want you to miss the little things that are amazing. Keep up the good work. And also I suggest playing Sniper Elite or Zombie Army Trilogy(its actually the game when you mentioned "i wish they made it into a standalone game" when you played the zombies at the end) when you finish the COD series cause I observed you like sniping :)
Can't wait to see you playing Battlefield! Those are awesome too, and the multiplayer is really exciting.
I told you guys knowing him he’s gonna shoot the first Japanese he sees I forgot to put shoots the first Japanese soldier in the decision part
I remember when round 15 was normal now round 25 to 35 depending on the people is normal
it’s crazy to watch the ending of this game and still get goosebumps. idk if i’m the only one that is thinking this but whenever i see that 60 MILLION people died within 6-ish years (1939-1945) because of this war still fucks with me because this all happened less than 100 years ago. like yeah it’s just a game but to think all this actually happened is truly, truly insane.
The part at 1:01:17 where you respawn and then walk straight into a grenade was pure comedic gold. Head thrown back in frustration. Classic CoD lol.
I think you should react to the Black Ops 4 shorts instead of playing, since it is more of a training mission. I would really enjoy infinite warfare campaign, believe it or not but it is very engage despite its future setting.
lets goo
I know its not COD but I really think you should play the Brothers in arms games. They are great. And a real good story aswell. Think you would like it.
Keep up the good work man really enjoying the content!
If I can suggest some things about getting better with mouse and keyboard mechanics if you do more playthroughs like this in the future: 1. get a big mousepad, one you can use your whole arm to move around it. 2. Get a good mouse (if it’s for fps games, check out rocketjumpninja’s channel for suggestions) you can go for razer, logitech, glorious, zowie, etc.3. Configure said mouse either on the mouse or on the mouse’s software. Most common dpi levels are 400, 800, 1600 (this is coming from playing counterstrike, overwatch, and a few other pc fps games) 4. Use a lower sensitivity and use your arm to aim and wrist movements to do the fine adjustments. This helps greatly with accuracy. Love the content as always man, can’t wait for Black Ops, def my favorite Call of Duty game

I remember thinking back in 2008 about the idea of a CoD game that involved zombies. Never believed it was going to happen, until November of 2008 when I went to Hastings to buy this game (and also The Force Unleashed). Two nights later, I beat the game to be introduced to THIS!

You should totally play COD: Ghosts. It has a great singleplayer and you'll have your own doggo. People don't like it because of the bad multiplayer.

The game's story is pretty damn good and I hope nobody spoils it for you. Especially the major characters.
You should try Enemy Front, it's a WW2 game from the perspective of a resistance fighter.
