Thank you for posting such a great video, I have the same issue with my 2015 Pulsar. It’s only done 59,000 Miles, the oil pressure warning light is coming on intermittently but the rattling has been present for over 6 months. A local garage mechanic found nothing wrong. Do you have any idea what sort of price this job should cost pls?

Do you, by any chance, remember the mileage on the odometer? It's sad that according to the manual, the chain needed to be replaced only after 300,000 km; however, in reality, the actual number is much lower (~3.75 times), no matter that the oil has always been replaced every 6,000 miles or so. 😢

@@cardiagnosis8199 Exactly the time I got my timing chain rattle in a 1.2 Pulsar. Nissan changed it for free out of warranty, because I'd always serviced it at the main dealer.

This is what happens when you buy cars with crappy French engines in them.
I'm surprised your DIG-T didn't blow up from excessive oil consumption before the chain went.

Проблему не решили, зато поменяли цепь. Проблема в форсунках-омывателях, где перестает работать клапан и масло стекает/вытекает из блока - нет давления и башмак не натягивает цепь. Сейчас найду видео - кину ссылку.

I don’t believe so as the bolts for the rocker cover go into the timing chain case . I would advise to always follow the repair instructions to eliminate any mistakes . Hope this helps

      Hi
There is not adjustment tool required . The timing marks are on the chain which you line up with the correct marks on the cam pulleys and crankshaft pulley .
