PHILIPPINES HIGHEST MOUNTAIN - Climbing Mount Apo in One Day!

- Mount Apo is the Philippines highest mountain, and we climbed it in one day!
After eating a healthy meal in Davao City and organizing our gear, we made our way to Kapatagan, and met up with our guide Arnie. After a short sleep and lots of food... we started the Kapatagan Trail at 1am in the morning. This is actually the shortest route up Mount Apo and the best way to climb the mountain for a day trek. From the forest at night, to the boulders at sunrise, and then the many different peaks... we had an absolutely amazing day climbing!
I can't believe how amazing Sara the dog is... our guide Kuya Arnie climbs with her often. This was her ninth summit!

I miss climbing in Mt. Apo I only got there once but it is so memorable because it was a Mt Apo clean-up drive event way back in 2013, it's a good climb for a purpose not for leisure so proud to be part of it, little bit of struggles as we hit storm when were sleeping in the peak my tent just crushed and we sleep wet with no proper gears at all just DIY plastic cellophane as a comforter or sleeping bag wind and cold temperature makes that night very challenging but other than that the experience was superb the camaraderi of my fellow mountaineers, the adventures is always i treasured and remembered each time i look at the mt apo from the city i just say i just got there =) POwer on!

Hi Kulas! I just dayhike Mt. Apo yesterday though there is no clearing since the wind was super strong and a little bit of rain. But total experience was very amazing, all the effort was really worth it.

Wow limpyo na kaayo trail padulong godi godi . We climb the same route way back in July 2005, the tourism office was reopening it for the first time after the rehabilitation effort, kay daghang basura. During our climb you can still find some plastic bags and climbers garbage back then. Great video Kulas!, brings back a lot of fun memories.

Being able to see Mount Apo from my house in Toril, down by the sea at 15:40 in the vlog, I finally decided 2024 is the year to do the 3 day hike. Having trekked in the Himalayas, the Alps, The Penine Way and all the peaks in HK I need to add this to my list. Great vlog. Power On.
Goodness you have definitely got some experience trekking. My wife has a plan for us to do climb Apo mid January. It's very cold in Ireland at the moment and I'm sure it will take time for us to adjust to the weather there. But its something I've always wanted to do.

Thats pretty cool. Great mountain scenery.. Reminds me of climbing Zugspitze at about the same height. Just a bit of snow however. I think it took about 12 hours up.
