- Today's episode features a distinguished guest, Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, AVSM MLC (Retd). A decorated military veteran, Major General Jamwal's illustrious career began with his commission into the J&K State Forces on September 10, 1947. He went on to serve as ADC to Maharaja Dr Karan Singh Ji of Jammu and Kashmir and studied at the Defence Services Staff College under Field Marshal Manekshaw.
His notable military roles included commanding the 9 J&K Rifles during the 1965 Battle of Asaluttar in Khemkaran, Punjab, earning a Battle Honour for his leadership. He also held significant positions such as Senior Instructor at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, General Staff Officer in the Mountain Division in West Bengal/Sikkim, and Military Secretary to the President of India.
Post-retirement, he has continued to serve the community as President of the Dharmarth Trust and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, and founded the J&K Paryavaran Sanstha, focusing on environmental conservation in the Himalayan and Shivalik regions. Eye opening interview but the drawback is that no one today is standing for the rights of dogras no one came up with a different idea for different statehood for Jammu

Sheikh Abdulla, who facilitated the 'ACCEPTANCE' of IOA by GG on Oct 27,1947, did not agree to the forfeiting of Currency Control to Union Govt , a subject matter beyond the scope of IOA for Defence; Foreign Affairs & Communications( inter state) . He was kept in Jail from 1953 to 1958, and released only when Bakshi Gh Mohammad , agreed to this a 'arrangement ' from May1,1958 onwards ,whereas 13 other states notified Vide Seventh Anendment,1956 having given Consent enforceable from April 1,1958 oneards.

None among any participants in any discussion held during past 40 years has referred to the 'seed sown by then ruler not drawing IOA by Aug 12,1947 to be part of Dominion Independent India from Aug 15,1947 onwards and instead had Bilalateral Treaty for Trade & Commerce with Dominion Independent Pakistan from August 16,1947 to Oct 27, 1947, the day GG Dominion Independent India "ACCEPTED" the IOA drawn on Oct 26,1947 in the format made use by rulers of other princely states !
