You have become my favorite fragrance channel. I find Creed fragrances are not in fact watered down. I feel people just repeat the same talking points they read online. The only creed I felt I had performance issues with is Silver Mountain Water, but I go nose blind to it quickly. My wife says she still smells the sillage 7 hours later so I know it’s still working.
I definitely have the same attitude towards Creed brand, the only downside to it is price, as well as many other qualitative niche brands nowadays. Thank you for watching! Check out the new video about Oud Wood 😉

I don’t think Creed fragrances worth its price. The exceptions are: Royal Oud and Green Irish Tweed. I love them.

Royal Oud is tops fro me and yes, this one is better than Aventus to this nose. Very opulent fragrance, but I can't detect oud anywhere which is funny.

You're right that the fragrance is the sum of it's parts. All blended in wonderful harmony. Pity the new batches are only a hint of their former glory (I know, because I have a 2012 batch). This speaks for all Creed releases since being bought out by Kering. Watered down shadows of their former glory.
Yes, and not exactly, yes, a lot of reformulations occurred during the years, but, don’t forget, your batch is 12 years old, and oxidizing. That probably made it nuclear, and ouds especially get better with maturation and oxidation, plus they claimed to use ambergris back then, and that also adds to the result

Royal Oud is the most tobacco fragrance ever made. I smoke pipe tobacco and never gotten the scent in fragrances. But Royal Oud has a cigar humidor smell to it… with a smoky ash in the opening.
