The L-1A & EB-1C visa is a great way for managers and executives of multinational companies to transfer to the US. The most straightforward path is an L-1A, to a couple L-1A extensions, to an EB-1C green card; but, there are plenty of other paths available to you.

They do not have to go together! You can absolutely apply for an EB-1C without first applying for an L-1A.
