  • Tension on the yarn is usually the biggest problem here. Keep the yarn as loose as possible from the tufting gun to the yarn skeen.

    your tutorial really helped a ton. thank you sm. I also was wondering why my yarn kept falling out every few tufts. I saw a youtuber who said she doesn’t have cones or anything, she just sits the yarn in a small tote and feeds it through as she tufts and I’m in my head like “then what am I doing wrong?!” 😭

      @@justruginit yeah! a lot of tufters don’t and it’s easy to overlook the smaller details such as this.

    Hey! I was wondering why do you have 2 strand of yarn at the same time in the gun’s hole ? Is it to make the rug thicker ?

    • @justruginit
      @justruginit  Před rokem +3

      I always use 2 and even sometimes 3. Yes it makes the rugs thicker. One strand just doesn’t cut it

    I've got a curios question for you, which I may just end up answering myself by typing it lol.
    We've got a Tuft-Love cut/pile gun, and using 80/20 acrylic/wool yarn that constantly jams in the needle of the gun, cutting short and tearing the wool apart and out of the needle. Is this caused simply due to the yarn's large size? Is there any way to mitigate this?

    • @justruginit
      @justruginit  Před rokem +2

      Every yarn acts a little different. If the yarn is too soft, the scissors have a hard time cutting. I stick with 100% acrylic weight number 4 and use 2 stands. It just depends.

    My yarn won’t go into my fabric all the way, I’ve tried fixing my scissors, I’ve tightened my fabric, I can’t figure out what’s wrong

    • @justruginit
      @justruginit  Před rokem

      Try using 2 strands of yarn and ensure there is no tension on the yarn from the machine to your skein

    Hey quick Q, my yarn is twisting up in the gun untill it snags n falls out of the gun. Any idea why this would happen ? I have the ZQ2 geeen gun no speed adjustment

    • @justruginit
      @justruginit  Před rokem +1

      I don’t have that machine, but I helped someone else once and they figured out to use one strand . I hope it helps but I can’t give a better answer.

    Turn down the speed of your machine. When it's at the right speed to how fast you move it you will see it stays in better, also loose yarn as he states helps tool.

    • @justruginit
      @justruginit  Před rokem

      Sometimes it’s sticking out, other times you just grab a bunch and pull out a big section

    Why won’t my gun cut the yarn? It does sometimes, but I mostly have to have scissors nearby to detach from the fabric. Otherwise, pulling the gun away pulls the yarn back out.
