- The History Digger returns to the UK for a spring, 2023 Metal detecting adventure. With his XP Deus ll metal detector he and some friends explore ancient land once occupied by Celtic tribes, Roman Soldiers, Saxon and medieval families. And once again, the historic land releases several treasures including a silver hammered long cross penny. Come alone and see what Rob and his mates discover and learn!

Great video Rob. Well put together with what to expect with the weather, and the amazing opportunity of finding history in the dirts of England. Thanks Ann. I very much appreciate the feedback. Yes, am heading back again in September for another seven day trip. I booked this one a while ago but now that I’ve done a ten day trip…prefer the longer of the two.
@@TheHistoryDigger1 14 days was too long it seemed, plus the body was a tad tired. 7 days was too short also, as the craving of finding more was still there. I found that 10 days was a sweet spot, and with the flights it was a long enough spell to be away.

Wow, one day I hope to detect there. So true about being time travelers. Ill find something, like an old ring or some cool artifact and I will sit back and think how and who lost that object. Love this hobby,,,
