"I think of my dad. Everytime" . Love it
My Dad passed two weeks ago, and at his funeral last week we invited those who wanted to contribute a short note or story of something they learned from him. It was prompted by your video earlier this year on tips from your Dad. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this idea - it was wonderful!
I think of my dad so often. He passed away in 2021 at 87 years of age. Lots of things I do or know are from him! Always in my memories…
My father passed in 2012. He was a carpenter for 30+ years. There are many things that I do, especially carpentry related, that I think about him every time, as well. It's a combination of mixed emotions....sadness and pride. I miss him dearly. God bless you, Jimmy. I can feel the sadness in your voice every time you speak about your father! ❤🤗
My dad passed away 2 weeks ago, I miss him so much…
@@Nermash Sorry for your loss. ♥️😔
That is some very nice stone work. Well done Ken.
The stone work is simply magnificent 👌
"Mike is like an action figure". Haha! Classic Diresta. Great journal on. the Graveyard House. Thanks Jimmy. Cheers!
Jimmy - I can't thank you enough for putting your craft here for all to watch. It makes me smile. The best part to me is when you do stuff in an unconventional method. You work hard and surround yourself with hard workers. No task is too big, or too small.
I’d normally watch Engles Coach Shop just before bed but watching you work is just as relaxing, so thanks.
Wanted to thank you, after reading your comment I thought I'd look up Engles Coach & I'm very happy I did. You have yourself a great day.
Awesome update, absolutely love Kens stone work, what a master, that room and fireplace will be an amazing space with those views 👏
Honestly Ken is my favorite part of this series, he's an incredible artist with the stone
Jimmy, I've been watching these videos for years now. They brighten my days and motivate me to be better at all the crafts I use on the farm! Cheers!
A Happy Heavenly Father's Day to your Dad Jimmy! I too learned much of what I know, from my Dad. Cheers brother!
That stacked stone wall is absolutely gorgeous!
This graveyard house series is very interesting, good work being done, thanks for sharing.
Love dudes like Ken and Mike, Salt of the earth and full of a lifetime of knowledge and experience on the job. So much to be learned from guys like that!
A lot of times when I do things I think of you Jimmy. Same reason. Thank you.
So happy this series is back!
Glad this series is back! What a long winter!!
When you started this project I just shook my head, Left and Right, now I'm shaking my head Up and Down. You are wonderful talent.
The addition it would look fantastic with big French doors, give a great view of the back field.
I’ve never wanted to be friends with someone more than when Ken was having a great old time and wearing an AC/DC shirt
Jimmy the graveyard house is looking great the stone work is beautiful. Can’t wait to see it finished. Thanks for sharing
I love this series, thank you for showing us the insights behind these US homes
Beautiful work, Jimmy! The place is looking fantastic! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I know the stone work is spectacular, but a big shoutout to Ryan with the digital renderings. Most people have no idea how much time and effort goes into making a detailed model like this, and how much time and money it can save on a project when you can virtually see all the pitfalls and potential of every design change in a matter of minutes. A skilled architect like Ryan SAVES you money, time and heartache in the end.
Ken is an amazing craftsman. Lost art
I love the look of what the house looks like currently! Adding a wrap around porch looses that feel and it’s not appropriate for the age of the building structure. I like watching all your steps. My 1830s house took a long time. And we lived in it at the same time!
I agree I am not 100 on it too much going on to cover it up
Hi Jimmy, first off I have to say your Stone Mason Ken is friggin AMAZING! It looks incredible. So far everything you have done will make that home last another century at least! I'm really looking forward to future episodes on this build! Keep up the great work, you are the KING!!
That one part of this video was very, very nice.
6:05 "... and I think of my dad every time". I miss my dad so hard, every day! 🥺
Ken is such a rad dude. Loving the cemetery house series Jimmy!
Ken is amazing!! Skills like that are not easy to find, I hope he has a few apprentices working for him so those skills are not lost forever!!
I can’t believe that stacked stone! Amazing work! The build is coming along!
A porch would tie it all together and look great. Thanks for the update video.
Good god....that man does beautiful stone work.
Beautiful work by Ken. Great seeing the progress!
We need more episodes from this series!
Джимми, у вас золотые руки!
Вы настоящий мастер 👍
С любовью из России.
How absolutely wonderful to be able to do this. I'm in awe and I love it.
Ken is such a hero
That rolling thing.☺Pure genius!
There are lots of channels on youtube that do old house “restorations” but not many take the time to build with regards to it matching the old historic parts of the house. This is reminiscent of “this old house” back in the day.
You're a Blessed man Jimmy.
Thanks for the update on the house. I’ve really enjoyed this series
I get that this is a huge undertaking, but I need updates on the Graveyard House more often, man! I was just wondering where it stood and see this today. Awesome. Absolutely love this series. Great job.
what a transformation. This place is going to be incredible!
Your mason is incredible. Skill like that is hard to find, but important to have.
I've said it a previous video but Ken is an incredible artist, the fondation looks amazing 👍🏻
I am enjoying seeing this series of videos. I am looking forward to the next installment. You have a way of making an obviously complicated project look easy.
I absolutely love this project! could watch it all day!!!!!!
This series is brilliant Jimmy, great work.
Always look forward to vids on the Graveyard house!!!! Coming along great!
This is a sweet Father’s Day video for all Dads! Just found your channel through a comment on Brent Hull’s channel.
Looks beautiful! Doing it right. Another true labor of love 😁 Thanks for the great content and saving a piece of history.
Finally, must have been one heck of a winter in NY.
Awesome & fantastic work as usual Jimmy & crew! Loving this series! 👍👍🔨🔨
That stone work is beautiful! ❤
Beautiful buildings. Love those industrial lights.
REALLY like the graveyard housevideos
It's all looking so good Jimmy! For the weird dead-end hallway, I think I would take advantage of the window there for the natural lighting and kind of make it a reading nook. A built-in book shelf and a comfy chair would be all that it needs.
Great video and brilliant commentary at the end. Couldn’t agree more.
That stone work is absolutely stunning. Oh, the framing is also nice ;)
Shout to Mike, everybody needs a friend like Mike.
I’ve been really looking forward to the next episode of this build it’s so interesting please show us all you do here it’s great to see
Every video I am in awe of of Ken's work ! I love the stone stack foundation. I hope that he has apprentices and they carry on this tradition. It would be such a pity to see this kind of craftsmanship be lost to history.
Moving along great. Taking the time needed to do it well and as able. That stone work is amazing!
Jimmy this is a lot of work but so awesome thinking how beautiful this home will be when completed. The graphic with the wrap around porch looks really nice. Thanks as always for sharing.
Thanks Jimmy, nice to see the progress! 👍👍👍
So many projects! Great content, loved seeing the updates on both buildings.
Was very happy to see this update - nice one
Excellent, loving the updates, amazing progress.
It’s really beginning to take shape and looking good.
Thank you Jimmy, that was a great update !! awesome craftmanship going on there ....
Love this series jimmy! It’s ridiculous how much your content has expanded over the years. It’s been so awesome to watch.
Great, been waiting ages for a return to the house
U guy ever notice that jimmy after the passing of his dad he’s always mentioning his dad in the video what I mean by that is that whoever have jimmy as a friend personally has gold , thank you jimmy 🙏👍👍👍👍
you have become a wise man taught by a master. that foundation is georgous and I'm a HUGE fan of the wraparound porch
Really cool to see this transformation. Thanks for sharing your journey!
It's coming along nicely.
Thanks for the tip from your Dad. I could have used it 2 days ago. I will use it next time.
Great progress and incredible stone work, Ken!
Graveyard house video! I've been wondering where you were with the progress. And a bonus update on the barn. Thanks for the updates.
Love this series! Ken is the man! Would love to learn from him 🍻
I’m enjoying this series. Thanks!
I love those pine floorboards. It would be neat to try to sand and save them. I'm a builder and everything that is going on there is what I would do.
How gratifying.
Cheers,
Lee
Makers, bodybuilders and old hippies, Unite!
I've learned a lot about how foundations and drainage works from these videos.
Lessons from our dad's. Priceless.
The stacked stone foundation is so beautiful. Nothing wrong with poured concrete if need be, but this is so much more elegant. Those gigantic sill plates must be incredibly strong. This is no longer a dilapidated old wreck, this house will be around for a long long time.
I like the idea of putting a huge fireplace in its own wing of the house.
Going to look great Glad the house could be saved
I love the dry stack foundation. Looks amazing!
Awesome!
Ty. I wondered how the graveyard house was coming along.
Great job. Outstanding choices.
Hi Jimmy. Wow, amazing progress! I love it how you are faced with some difficulty, and you think through it and find a workable solution. Also like how you are keeping the old look, like with the lighting, but using modern products. The finished product is going to be beautiful!
Such great work and great characters to work with!
That dead end hallway should become a reading nook. Slash sunny lounge, slash meditation station, slash your pets favorite place in the house, slash cuddle corner, slash...
Jimmy,
The respect for the old time skills you show is appreciated.
Your masons skills are fantastic. Also appreciate the fact you have attempted to salvage as much as possible. Best of luck with the rest of your restoration.
It's coming along, great job to all
I love this series.
The Haligan bar Mike is using is real cool.
Amazing work!!!
I look forward to seeing more!!
Again Jimmy.. thank you for sharing this oar of ur life with us
Love the house and barn building stuff!
