      Haha fair enough, appreciate you watching though! Do you at least think this is a start of a new type of NBA player? Meaning 7 footers with guard level skills and mobility

    • @iBoxPhone
      @iBoxPhone Před 27 dny +4

      @@timelesshoops_ Sarr doesn't have guard level skills. He's extremely raw on offense besides being a roll man.

      Yeah he’s closer to Chet but Chet is more far more polished offensively

      Jalen duren with a mediocre jumper

      Yup Sarr ceiling is like Evan Mobley and the difference between Victor Wemembama and Evan Mobley is not close. Victor is milies better than Evan Mobley ever will become.

    lol I know yall like to compare 7 footers to Wemby, but remember Wemby can clear look over Shaq. Chet and Alex are roughly the same height. I’m excited to see him play I believe he has potential. But Wemby being one of the 10 tallest people in nba history is something people forget often. I’d compare him to Chet more than Wemby and that’s still incredible.

      Or Sarr compares to Rudy Gobert.

      @Anthonydu01630 Před 20 dny

      @@redhorse6652More like KG or a taller AD, but even tough AD is only 6’10 he has a 7’6 wingspan, Alex Sarr is 7’1 with a 7’5 wingspan just like Chet, but he is more mobile than Chet similar to KG or AD, i think that’s his ceilling, both in term of level and playstyle, so a Top 3 defender in the league who can be a 2nd offensive option on a championship team, but who know maybe he could become an elite offensive player too, nobody tought Curry, Kawhi, Jokic, Giannis or Jimmy Butler would become that good i think none of them were a Top 10 draft pick, so if they could do it Alex Sarr can do it, he has the potential physically, we only need to know if he really love Basketball and really want to be the best, that’s the major difference between a guy like Giannis and a guy like Ayton, or between Wemby or Chet and Bol Bol …

      I’m cool with him being a baby Wemby because the Hawks need tot ale em and the East don’t have to many big that can move or defend that size.

    Solid role player at best still a raw talent

  • @mathiasmaire9168
    @mathiasmaire9168 Před 27 dny +4

    Even if Sarr was as talented as Wemby (and he's not), there would still be a 3-inches gap between the two, and that alone makes a huge difference. If Sarr can be as good or a little bit better than Chet, that would already be very good. Right now, he's young, talented, athletic, already a very good defender, but still has to work a lot on his decision making, overall shooting skills and handle. He has shown flashes in all those areas, but needs to do it on a more regular basis. And as a French, I would like to warn you that you won't be making many videos with a "French 7-footer expertise"...

    • @timelesshoops_
      @timelesshoops_  Před 27 dny +3

      I just think Sarr’s game will be better adjusted to the NBA than in his current league. He kinda reminds of KD in terms of his build, and you can’t teach that level of defense he already possesses. I’m not saying he’ll be greater than Wemby, but I can see him following a similar trend. And yeah I promise my future videos won’t be all about Frenchmen 😂 shoot some ideas my way man I’m always open to some inspiration!

    He ain't a Wemby that's for sure, but he's the same type of player.
    This build archetype with this type agility is the future of the NBA, Wemby was just the first one to have potential Hall of Famer talent to go with it.

      I like this take 🙌 that’s what I was trying to hit on in the video! This kinda archetype is becoming more and more common and it’s pretty exciting to think about what that could mean for the future of the NBA. Thanks for watching!

    Don't compare wemby with him. Wemby is a beast and played european league before coming to NBA. Saar is a kind of role player and in modern Basketball only Dunk and Alley up will not help you to survive in NBA.

    Spurs get the first pick, pick Saar, and we get to watch a 7 ft 4 in forward set a pick for a 7 foot 1 inch center, both of whom can roll or pop. The big to Big passing will be beautiful to watch.
    Both of them can switch on to perimeter players on defense and both of them are game-changing rim protectors.
