    • @mitrex1469
      @mitrex1469 Před 5 lety +2

      Take compass. Keep one end on pt. 3 and other on pt. f on the circle's circumference. Then keep an end on vertical line 3 and cut the horizontal line by drawing arc. This is the procedure he followed. Although, if you meant to say that the distance isn't the actual distance but the shortest one, then yeah you are correct here. It would approximately be same.

      Taking arc from circle in compass for 8division in development did not cover the length of circumference 2πr..is this due to the arc length (curve) differs from the length unfold (straight) in surface development ?

      Is this so then why for development surface in beginning for 8 division sir you have done line division that is right okay ..but for the location of f and g ..again you have taken compass arc method ..why ?could it be correct or not ?isn't there any other method sir for f and g also or what ?I am 🤔 confused

      First of all, let me appreciate that you made such a valid point. Yes, i will confess that this is an approximate technique to locate the points. But, dont worry, everybody follows it. Do refer ND Bhatt's book. The example has been directly taken from it....
