Barry, thanks, you prompted me into getting off my arse and building a railway. I have just had a bad experience painting and ballasting track, didn't work, caused derailing, thank God I only trialed the method on a sort run of track, its in the bin now. Now I follow your advice, clean track, good reliable running is all important. I have raised my spirits by building a Cambrian kit of a SECR Van, she's a beauty, runs square and true, couplers are at the right height, and her first coat of paint looks smart.
Hi Barrie, 79 pounds for such a beauty? That's a great bargain. It was probably a returned copy, somebody bought it new and didn't like it and sent it back to Rails of Sheffield. But what's not to like? She's such a beautiful engine, wow 🤩 If my layout were bigger (it's only 95x85 cm and has only radius 1), I wouldn't be able to resist her too 😊 Greetings from Belgium 🙋♂️ Erik
