- THE SUPERMOTO SHOWDOWN IS HERE between these two THICCC hotties 😍 This is basically a FULLY MODDED KTM SMCR 690 vs a stock Husqvanra 701 supermoto... The 690 is a 2013, the 701 is 2019. So both different models but not much different in feel. The newer 701 feels less bulky and slightly easier to ride but thats about it. The mods on the 690 have really bought the bike to life and it makes me want to throw money at my bike LOL but I have been too busy throwing it down the road all winter. Just got a 2018 701 last week, akrapovic exhaust, airbox mod, and remap ecu. Power wheelies in 3rd😊 said i wasn't going to do anything else to it, that lasted all of two days. Power commander V, and Rottweiler induction kit just arrived today😊 think it's going to be a beast when i get it installed. Though got to say the 690 looks better.

@@Rspence_86 haven't fitted it yet, going to do it after work today. I'll let you know the difference mate. I got that from Rottweiler in America, as well as the Rottweiler induction kit. I've heard it makes a big difference😊

Is the 701 and 690 on the same sprocket sizes too though? The 701 with a 701 front sprocket would make a difference

Which crash protectors?? You probably don’t want frame sliders installed they look like they will do more harm than good
Just get axel sliders and case covers and some decent hand guards and it will be the best you could do 👊

I bought a 701 Enduro last year and after riding it on some fun tarmac I REALLLLLLY want the sumo version for tarmac stupidity.
Sheeeeeesh yeh them road tyres will bring it to life on street! Slap some conti attack sm evos on there and hit some twisties your in for a real good time, don’t expect much life out them tyres tho LOL I now run one in the front and something tougher for the rear
@@TARZANMotoVlogs Can't be much worse than the dirt tires... after a week riding the passes around Ouray in Colorado the rear was pretty much toast, maybe 1000mi.
Same, instead of buying another bike for riding in tarmac i just got a set of 17" alpina wheels and do it all with 1 bike.

@@CunningStuntsGoFast yeh exactly, then each gen has its differences like new is quick shifter auto blip, my one was just the ride by wire and slipper clutch, then one before is cable and i dont think abs control, and the 701s are a year behind on gens, so 2019 is new gen smcr 202 is new gen 701

What system is on the ktm

You have that extra 1000 rpm on your 2019...when you rode the KTM, could hear you bouncing off the rev limiter more. I guess that 1000 rpm makes quite a difference.
Should put a 15 tooth sprocket on the front...takes about 15 mins to do and increases the fun factor.

Same bike pretty much they are good but still feel lazy I prefer a 450 mx bike motard these don’t have that snap and they are much heavier.

It’s literally just looks and which gen you prefer
The 2013 KTM in this video just has abs and that’s it and cable so a lot more raw feeling to it
My husky was 2019, ride by wire throttle, slipper clutch, abs control - and the dash is better I think as I don’t like all that extra clunky stuff infront of me on a sm haha should be minimal info IMO just tell me miles and that’s it haha
So this is first gen of ktm smcr690
Second gen I think is from 2014-2018 and is same stuff as my 701 BUT I think the 2019 701 is 74hp and precious bikes are 67
The husky’s are a year behind
The 2019 smcr has quick shifter and blipper on there aswell
The 2020 701s have this added
My personal preference is the 2018/19 701 with the 74hp and nice dash
Ride by wire and slipper clutch and abs control, all you need on a sm
Even that is too much as it’s like a ‘soft supermoto’ as they say
This bike is PERFECT for someone who just wants a easy to live with sm, that rides like a street bike, but performs like a supermoto
It’s like a street bike in a supermoto body
I always recommend this bike for people who don’t really care about wheelies too much just want to pop it up here and there, a bike you can get on and go, hit the back roads as hard as you hit the main roads, and slay the twisties
I always think about owning another one as a second bike just cause you can go out all day on it, send the twisites, still pop wheelies
But if you want to stunt ride, get a proper dirt bike and do a sm build as there so much lighter and much better tool for the job

I have a Triumph Daytona and Yamaha Niken as a tourer but I keep getting caught on camera.
Hence I thought the SM might be a better fit as I can have fun at slower speeds if I pick the right roads.
I also got hit this year when a car changed into my lane illegally and that knocked my confidence. I was live streaming to Twitch at the time so at least I had video evidence! It is hard to live stream from a bike but you should give it a go, it was great fun!
Maybe next year I will try that Husky. It looks a lot of fun!

This gen 690 is 67hp stock I think, my husky was 74hp stock
Also could be rider and weight difference cause the 690 has some good mods done
