    BTC have you been to Western KANSAS during the wheat harvest? The counties like Lane, Gove and Thomas have the big open fields. Castle Rock area in Gove county is impressive and beautiful too. A lot of open big country and fields. These are the high plains areas in Kansas. Thanks 😊

For instance is the field mapped with each activity or is the data stored for that field for the season and used for each activity by any tractor/implement or combine for straight line guidance. Thank you for doing a great job!

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  Před 4 lety +4

      Here is their formula. 120 lbs NH3, the farm spreads150lbs of ammonium sulfate and will get 30 lbs of N from that and will sidedress UAN for another 75 lbs of N. Yes stay tuned for the 4786 harrowing ahead of corn planters.

    Also how are they applying their P and K?

    I am surprised the wheel tread widths on the trailers are the same front and back. Doesn't the wheel tracking compact the soil with both front and rear over the same track? And, even more so when pulling two trailers - four wheel passes over the same path.

  • @farmingsimulatorrock
    @farmingsimulatorrock Před 4 lety +1

    I would like to state that he is unsafely transporting anhydrous. 1. It is illegal to pull triples in Illinois, toolbar and two wagons is considered triples. 2. Hoses are still connected to the wagons during transport. 3. It is safe to assume that since he never got out to open the valves that he never closed them. I understand that it is farming and that every farmer tries to get things done in the field when they can, but please take the extra 30 seconds - 2 minute to safely prepare for transport. And if you must you 2 tanks instead of one, try using 2 tanks mounted on 1 running gear. Then you are no longer considered pulling triples.

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  Před 4 lety +5

      Couple of things here. Yes the tanks were shut off. If you notice there is a screen right swipe between the tractor pulling in the field and taking off on the first pass. It took 5 minutes between pulling in and running. I cut that part of the video because most people would switch the video off waiting on the tank set up. The end of this video shows the tractor folding up and leaving the field. The tanks were switched off and secured before the DMI field up. He pulls out to head to the field just down the street. Interestingly some of this footage in the field was filmed in IL but pulling out in the road was basically going across the street which was in IN. Street being IN. No one in any way was in danger here. Super short trip and everything was locked down. If I showed all the extra steps that happen this would be a 25 min video. The video is about the tractor not how how NH3 works so I edited the video to feature the tractor.
