He didn't show up. Period. What bothered me all last Monday/Tuesday when people were killing Allen is that some made it seem like he wasn't infinitely better than Lamar in the postseason. Allen's failures can be summed up on one hand. He's been really good to phenomenal. Meanwhile, Jackson has done quite literally NOTHING in the time of year that matters most.

Lamar's a great talent and I am a Ravens fan. His defense has had an average ranking of number 2 since he has been in the league, according to the Athletic. In addition, while Baltimore averages 28 points per game since Lamar has been the starter, his season low in points always happens in the playoffs. L.J lost to Allen in the playoffs. Lastly, Jackson is 2-4 in the playoffs despite having an MVP and being the presumptive MVP winner this year. That isn't good either way.

Baltimore's coaching strategy and tactics against KC were horrific. Harbaugh needs to accept the bulk of the blame for that and for the chippyness and lack of composure of the Ravens. I don't get why Lamar gets crucified (BTW, I'm a Niners fan so there's little love for LJ) but Harbaugh walks away unscathed while his team melts dowm. Lamar reminds me a bit of prime John Elway on mediocre Broncos teams. He was expected to do everything on offense but the fact is that his weapons and schemes were subpar. That's a coaching, GM and franchise problem. LJ, seems the least of their problems.

Yeah this is an underlying thought. Sure Mahomes had a rough regular season but Pacheco is coming strong in the post season and Kelce was an absolute beast against whoever the Ravens threw at him in coverage. All Lamar got for receivers that honestly scared Spagnulo was Zay Flowers and he's just a rookie. Odell didn't really do shit and neither did Bateman, Likely or Andrews. Monken as a offensive play caller also got beat by Spags who was in his bag with the defense. LJ did as much as he can but that Ravens offense isn't ready for sustained playoff success yet.

Regardless, Baltomore is a running team first and they needed to be themselves this game to exert control. Spags must have been rejoicing inside when he saw the path the Ravens were taking. Harbaugh is obviously a good coach. He's had some great talent on D over the years, but they rarely seem to have a balanced offense. LJ's legs during the RS cover up weaknesses that tend to get exposed in the play-offs. Those weaknesses become apparent in personnel, philosophy and scheme against a great defense. I don’t wanna hear anything about Lamar. That fumble at the 1 yard line changes the entire game. Also his OC all of a sudden deciding he’s Phillip Rivers and should drop back with no misdirection or weaponizing what they’ve used all year is a bigger issue than anything. Also … the Chiefs played a super conservative 2nd half more so than Baltimore stopping them. Reid & Spags realized The Ravens were in their own way and they didn’t need to take any risk.

It’s simple, Lamar is NOT an elite passer! He doesn’t have the accuracy to get it done! That’s why people say he is a running back, he needs that part of his game to make up for his bad passing game

If its how you played all season and it was successful, then I see no issue. People wanna cry and say oh but this oh but that. That man brought detroit back from being irrelevant to the NFCCG. To criticise him doing what hes done in the moment to get to that moment is silly.

  • @michaelshanahan4965

So many games have been lost this season because these coaches like to go for it on 4th down. They get await with it because the announcers won’t criticize anyone anymore. They especially won’t criticize some of these phantom holding calls. Like the one against the Chiefs to keep them from going up 24 to 7.

Lions cut a kicker who was doing well this year too. I'd say Campbell has trust issues with kickers. 😂 Lamar likes money more than winning, Baltimore will never get there. Harbaughs are grossly overrated also.

It’s onside* kick, onside***. Defenders can go offsideS, kicks can not. And tell Greg Olsen. I was screaming at him through the tv yesterday too. Between that and “it’s easy to second guess results in hindsight”.
