Yay! We have the same bag! Just got mines in the mail and am now conditioning it with some leather conditioner. She's a little dry..... now that I think about it, I think that was what your seeing on your bag. The white powder comes from the leather when its dry. I had a Philip Limb medium Pashli do that to me when it first arrived.

Hi - it does have a substantial weight to it, maybe 3lbs? Once I have it pack it usually weighs about 4 lbs and I usually don't carry a lot. But, its a weight that I really don't notice while in use and has been a comfortable carry for me. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
