    • @spaceboundmg
      @spaceboundmg Před 2 lety

      @@VAGTechnic Hello, thank you very much for the answer! Yes it does but not talking about chain rattle, what i mean is the knock noise from Intake Manifold. The reason im asking is that mine got seized 5 days ago, it took me 2 days to notice a knock noise, i managed to move the flaps by my hand, it was very hard but i opened them all the way and knock stopped right away. I did lose low rpm torque because of that but yesterday i did removed intake Manifold and cleaned everything and oiled the shaft from those flaps on front side of Intake manifold. The hard knock noise is gone but i still can hear some of it, some say it will smoot out by time because i ecu needs some time to adjust to proper working Intake Manifold, just wanted to confirm that because i see you know what you are doing! Thanks again!
      I dont want to be annoying but could you please try and answer me a question, i have Audi S4 B7 Avant 2006, 4.2l V8 ofc, i could take it in for a labor but usually here in Germany you pay money for mechanic and he has no idea what hes doing because they dont really work on these beautiful cars. I get a screaming noise comming from engine bay at high rpm only, 5500 - 6500 its literally screaming noise, as if i had a supercharger installed on it but with broken bearings. Maybe you know what could be producing it? Thanks once again for filming your work, you have no damn idea how much it helped me!!

In your experiences this engine with dual injection system is prone the same to that ugly carbon build? Thank you and keep on doing this nice materials on CZcams

    • @VAGTechnic

      Hi thanks ! More videos coming soon :) you shouldn’t have problem with the carbon build if your valves are cleaned by injection before the valves . Audi recommend to change the adjusters at 80.000 miles what’s around 130.000km . But again it’s very individual when they might make the noise

I am driving s5 3L v6 2010 and having rattle on cold starts or if car sitting off for longer period ...thing is as soon engine is running for couple of minutes and pressure builds up rattle goes my question is does my car need tensioners replacement or I read somewhere it could be oil pressure valve located underneath pcv valve....I am planing on change pcv anyway as I got high oil consumption and those pressure valves are underneath it(I am only clever as I got workshop manual ).Thank you for your help. @VAGTechnic  Před 3 lety

      Hello ,
      Yes Slovakia 🤪, well that’s definitely what we would recommend to start with , if it doesn’t help chain job it is … rattle is killing the plastic brackets slowly , breaking to pieces

    • @sarcastixx74
      @sarcastixx74 Před 3 lety

      As far as I know on the B8 S4 there are no oil check return valves under the pcv and this contributes to the wear in the plastic parts of the tensioners on cold start up. I assume that the S5 2010 is the same as they both have the same engine? The non return valves are cheap and easy to swap as part of the pcv job. The B8.5 models do not have this problem as they have the valves fitted from factory and stop the oil draining back from the tensioners. My own S4 uses around 650ml/1000miles so although the consumption is not really high I do intend to get the pcv changed later this year.

    I hope all is doing well.
    I have a 2004 Audi S4 4.2 BHF (sibling of BBK) with a major amount of aluminum particles in oil and filter. Oil smoke exhaust from bank 2..
    But, the cylinder walls look ok with camera scope from what I can see.
    Initial problem was Injector 6 stuck open and shot white fuel smoke from bank 2 exhaust while misfiring.
    I replaced injectors and plugs and restarted the engine which cured misfire #6 and fuel too rich bank 2 code.
    After starting it, instantly it begins to shoot white oil stink smoke from bank 2 exhaust, (fuel stink smoke corrected but now it's oil burning.)
    Do you have any hints what else besides piston rings will let oil get into combustion on this BHF? "Valve seal"? Thanks Sincerely !
    --edit-- Can this alusil cylinder wall be shedding flakes in such a thin smooth fashion that the cylinder wall damage cannot be visually inspected unless measured?
    I wonder if injector washed the wall and caused rings to perfectly bore the cylinder, the aluminum or alusil particles from oil filter and oil are very soft, crumb easily and very thin.
