- I've been driving around lately, and I keep seeing all of these very overgrown verges (we call them nature strips down here in Tasmania). Some of them are the responsibility of the local government, some are the responsibility of the homeowners, and all of them were in need of some major attention. In the end, I just decided to drive around, knock on some doors and offer to fix a few of these eyesores for free. Hopefully, we made someone's day and also made my local community look a bit nicer 🙂.

A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!

A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!

Just want you to know how much I appreciate that you don’t run over paper and let the pieces fly everywhere and that you pick up lawn clippings so many here in the states don’t care about that. That’s one of the reasons you are the best. Keep up the great work 👏

Well, yes, but they’re on video so they’re putting their best foot forward. I think Flips meant in general, as in driving around and seeing guys mowing. I agree with him on that. Especially on city street berms or medians (or whatever your area calls them).

You really need to get out more often and really pay attention to people are good and responsible for there yard and homes. Don’t make assumptions you actually don’t know. But why are you bashing the country where you’re from?! 🤦🏻♀️…But you just happened to know that every single person who mows their lawn or a gardener mows lawns, run over papers and let them fly all over the place and on the streets? Lol, No. Have you been to every single home in the states to actually know that? I bet not even. Why even bring up how things are from the U.S.? What the heck does that do with this video? Lol..🤦🏻♀️ Most lawns or any lawns across the states don’t have papers on their lawn, people want their yards to look nice and kept up all the time since they are mowed weekly, nice looking yards and clean. And I’m pretty sure you don’t have papers in your lawn lol. Who leaves papers in their yard?! Unless there are neglected properties, like the properties that George mows for residents in need of help, with out of control grass and trees and shrubs and people might just throw some of their trash in the high grass, anyone who wants to mow the high grass and clean it up does always go around picking up trash and PAPERS first and throws it all away first because Americans don’t like to see trash all over the place. We were all taught since childhood to always pick up after yourself, don’t litter, help keep your home and your community clean, so we make sure to pick it up garbage and PAPERS. And no person or a gardener leaves papers to mow over and let it fly over the place because it’s common sense to want to pick up loose papers and other junk to throw away first. Unbelievable how someone sees a video and compares it to something else when it’s fully unnecessary and really immature and disrespectful to bash their own country to make everyone look bad and yet, you have never seen every single yard across the states to even know that! Lol. But to bash where you came from to make us all look bad is so disrespectful. But like I said, luckily you’re wrong and people in the states do care. If you care so much, you go out there in your city, the whole state or go around the states and you go pick up trash and go mow everyone’s lawn if you actually believe no one cares. I never seen pieces of shredded up papers fly all over the place after someone mows their lawn! Lol 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Well I guess that’s my opinion I compare every lawn care video to George because he’s the best and people who do videos should strive to be the best and be like George. Again just my opinion if there is a certain person from the U. S. Who is as good as Quick Cuts please share because I would love to watch ❤️

We call them verges here in Perth and I have told the Council on numerous occasions to tidy the corner near me but it falls on deaf ears. They take our Rates for their pet projects and leave the streets looking untidy. You are a good man.
I live in geraldton western australia and our council is the same
Honestly no one even bothers to complain to the council about anything around here. It's just a massive waste of time. I'm about 90% sure they just pocket all the money we give them instead of actually investing it back into the town. It's been especially bad the last two years since covid. Nothing gets done, grass is never mowed and basic maintenance of things like roads and streetlights is never kept up with. It's an absolute joke, but there's nothing anyone can do about it. Just have to move on to the next problem in life.
Verges are the home owners responsibility even though they are owned by the council. If they aren't maintained and the council gets enough complaints then the council will mow them and charge the home owner for the work. This takes time especially as the council has to give the home owner plenty of warnings....at least that's what I'm told here in Rockingham.
Council In Western Australia is horrible, Bunbury councill is just terrible, I left because it's an u hole that needs a lot cleaning up and work..
Cutting the grass looks great, but the edges done are like the icing on the cake. Great job, as usual. Thankyou.

As always George you’ve done a fantastic job and the verges look great. You are what we oldies call a good egg, and not only do you do good work for the clients you help out but you take the time and trouble to film it, giving us free entertainment. And I know that editing takes a good bit of time. So thank you for that, it is so relaxing to watch!

We call them verges here in the UK. More often than not they are the responsibility of the local council here, but that doesn't mean the councils maintain them 😄 Grand job though, and no old furniture or strange abandoned items for you to contend with 😉

Great work George! That Honda's obviously a tough mower! re Job No 2 - I noticed the property was up for sale. The vendor would have been very grateful for having the nature strip mowed as it would help them achieve the asking price. Hopefully they've seen this video and know who helped them out.

We call these boulevards here in Canada.the property belongs to the city but owners are responsible for the upkeep..figures your so far away..it's difficult to find good garden help..I'm always afraid to wreck the yard. Lots of rain here..moss in the lawn a big problem. Great job ! I'm sure the neighborhood appreciated this.

What a difference you made. The edging is always done perfectly and really finishes everything off. I like these smaller jobs alot because it's like instant gratification for a change and I learn alot about how to care for my own lawn.

I love sidewalk work! Looks wonderful. I grew up in a small town. Thought everyone had sidewalks. Cities are doing better about new construction including sidewalks. You always bring order to your work. Hope to see some small garden work sometime.

You made them all look so much nicer with clean edges. Do you ever leave a business card or place a sign in some of the areas you transform? I know you would have liked to trim those limbs on Job 2 but no one was home. Really a great job you do!
