Another day, another disaster. The owner of this property really needed some help getting her overgrown garden back into shape so that she could manage it later on. The humidity on this job was terrible, and I was struggling there for a while, but I got it done in the end!

Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so I now work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride -on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved.

I am only 5 minutes in to watching that so far but I have to say you are one brave man. Just from the overview at the beginning I was thinking you would need a team of 3 or 4 men to tackle that mess and for you to be doing it on your own that is truly amazing!

Impressive cleanup of the side and backyard. It even looks bigger. I can't believe they installed the mini split right where she hangs her clothes. Beautiful garden after your hard work!! That traffic is loud, she needs some taller trees closer to the fence to try to block out more traffic noise. Then a nice water feature would be wonderful.

It's just less stress. When you organise a work schedule for 2 weeks in advance, then a person quits, it makes it very difficult 🤔

An absolutely ridiculous amount of shrubbery in this yard! You did a good job cleaning up what you could but 90% of that shrubbery needs to go. A new, solid, 6-8ft fence needs to be set along the road to block the noise and fumes (a brick or stone wall of the same height would be better), and the yard devoted to raised bed vegetable gardens. I will never understand why those who have the privilege to own a yard don't use it wisely and with respect.
Wonder why you don't trim all the bushes. Some you obliterate, some get a measly trim and others aren't touched at all. Would be nice to see some more care/finesse in trimming and bring them down to size where owner can reach them.
