Americans don’t feel that way. They were trying to enter our country illegally and they paid the ultimate price. At least they died on the Canadian side. They’re Canada’s problem.

India is not a good country. And deaths can happen anywhere anytime. I'm not saying cross border illegally but most people who crossed the border survived so they took the risk. They would have died even if they lived in India but that won't make to the news because it's not a political issue. Death can come anywhere anytime. Look at how people are dying of covid in India and other social or mental issues without any good healthcare system. They died trying like a hero not like you sitting around in a comfortable place and texting to create controversies..

Family dies in a mysterious conditions. Lets see. Walking in the middle of nowhere below -30F freezing conditions with your entire family to cross ilegally for 11 hours. I know Indians are known to be smart people but Cmon now. Even a WOLF would think twice to do that trek but not these DARWIN AWARD RECEPIENTS.
Also most likely they weren’t dressed for extreme cold. I’ve seen Indians wear flip flops in winter in Chicago.

Took a very bad decision, they must have relatives in US.. should travel US legally 1st.. find a proper legal way to come to US or be happy in Canada.

We actually are able to travel where we want legally. All you need is no criminal history, money and a passport. The REAL problem is bullying and abuse. People should be protected and feel safe where they live then they won’t want to escape!
They were upper middle class and could have traveled legally. The problem is that the guy was looking for a quick short cut and did not do his own research to account for these challenges . This is what illegal border crossing looks like. While unfortunate and incredibly sad this was not fault of US or Canada but the guy who put his family in danger to show off to his relatives which is such a ugly reality of our culture
