- After trying to act like a "normal" woman for many years, I decided to follow the call I had felt all my life to be a nun. Best decision I ever made.

Not everyone married is happy, not everyone single is sad.
True
WHile married life might be one way of succeeding in life, it's not the only way. For everything that exists, there is an opposite. While some ppl might dream of getting married, it can be a nightmare if to the wrong person.
I had no idea the Episcopalian church had nuns! What a powerful testimony.
This is news to me, too!
Episcopal, Lutheran, Muslim...
There are quite a few out there.
The late Rt. Rev. Thomas Shaw, Bishop of Massachusetts, and a monk with the Society of St. John the Evangelist, used to say that Religious Orders were "the best kept secret in the Episcopal church".
The world is blessed to have you and your sisters. Please pray for me. I am Mona. I am 76. I am praying for you.
God Bless you for your honesty and presentation !!!
I hate the way sooooo many Christians think that people have to be married and have to be baby machines to be good Christians. This is SOOOOO contrary to New Testament teaching as expressed in the seventh chapter of 1 Corinthians. I discovered this by reading the Bible by myself as a child, and I seriously considered choosing a life of singlehood in order to do the most for God as a person just living in secular society. Decades later, I am still living by that thought. I have always thought I might marry if a person comes along whom I think might be spiritually enriching for me to marry, but as I age and come closer to the end of the road for me, I sometimes think that I should just resolve my self to persisting until the end. Ultimately, I am open to whatever God wants.
Thank you so much for your honest story. And you must have a lot of inner strength to have overcome the hurdles you described. Your words touched me!
I just saw your video from buzzfeed and it made me feel so happy
Thank you for sharing your journey.
Sister, thank you for your witness. You make us religious folks sound so normal! I love it; you are doing great service for the Church and for your sister and brother religious. You have given some of us the voice of a kindred spirit who "gets us" and who presents us well to the world. Thank you, again, and many blessings on your ministry. [Please also pray for me.].
Thank you sister! ❤
My cousin is a nun since the 60’s . She wore a full habit and as kids we would behave extra when she visited knowing she was holy. LOlz She is still a nun at 73 years old. She was 11 years older then me but we keep in touch and I send her gifts she does have a cell phone. She definitely isn’t on the internet at all she would be mortified on CZcams. My aunt/ her mom played piano by ear in the Catholic Church her whole life. They were my role models for Christ today in my life as a born again Christian, Catholic, Jewish by blood girl. I wear all the titles proudly.
Just nice to see Sisters in plain sight. Miss the veils. Wish they were optional. Always reminds me of the Mother of God. Nice videos!
Dear Sister, may Our Blessed Lady reward you for your courage and generosity in accepting Christ s call to Religious life, blessings from Ireland 🇨🇮🇨🇮
Awesome! I have the upmost respect for you!
Great explanation ❤ God bless you 🙏
GOD bless you sister. It's hard tailoring suits that hold an appeal for the world, but feel uncomfortable to wear. I've been there myself, and there is no shame in finding authenticity through our christ given identity. I now try to be as christ intends, not as the people around determine. Bless you anf thank you for sharing this.
You described that feeling perfectly “a fish out of water”
I'm a trans women and I am possibly hoping to have a vocation with the episcopal church. Beguines seem more like what id like to be but they aren't around anymore.
❤
Sister how many days it would take to become a nun after the application submission
Would you teach me more about Episcopalian faith 🙏
Yes you can go to www.episcopalchurch.org to learn all about our denomination
From wihich Georgia are you? From SUA? or from Georgia East Europe?
From Georgia in the USA
Hi Sister Monica. My name is Tracy and I'm considering becoming a nun. What are the requirements to becoming an Episcopal nun?
Tracy , why become a nun ? You can be happy as yourself
The requirements are that you are a confirmed Episcopalian, under the age of 50, in good health. You can start by talking to an Episcopal priest about your sense of call.
@@sistermonicaclare2979 Thank you 😊 Sister Monica! I will make not of this. May God bless you and give you the daily strength to full fill all your duties! Good bless you!
i knew there were some Episcopalian Nuns. I heard of some in Georgia.
I thought your other presentation about walking around the house eating out of a bowl all by yourself was sad. I hope that you are finding community dining to be rewarding.
Well DUH!
Sister is quite happy and fulfilled in her vowed life.
Looking at the externals is not going to answer your questions.
Perhaps you should take a week or weekend and experience the life and have conversations with the members to deepen your awareness of vowed life.
@@thomasmcnerney9745 And who are you? Mother Superior?
@@andresinsurriaga1082 You're not the brightest one out there eh?
How come your community does not wear veils?
She made another video about it
But the Episcopalians don't have the Holy Eucharist 😢
Of course we do. The Pope might say otherwise, and if you're Catholic you're required to believe it, but he's wrong. The Bishop of Rome has no authority in this realm.
Bless you sister.
