I can't help but feel like it was a threat considering how much he threatened her if she ever tried to run away. It's sad but also creepy, they even used to be my favorite band.

It shows that he really was self-aware and knew exactly how much trauma he was inflicting on Ronnie. He was a sociopath. I really used to like this song but i don’t know how i can listen to it knowing the story 😭
