Just got a 2014 lounge for my daughters upcoming birthday. Didn’t check the rear wiper until i was driving it home. So I’ll be checking the cluster of wires at the weekend. Thanks
Remove the negative cable from the battery before you check those cables in the trunkdoor. Just a tip. I remove the vipermotor with cabels and the waterhose from my 500 .Since then i have no problems with damage cables. (Or a scratched rear window) By the way i love your chanel.
Own a 2010 Pop 1.2 from new and had this after 5 yrs., which included the heavy demist wired fracturing, only on a few strands left, luckily summertime so not using it, could have been a fire risk. My symptoms were intermittent engine power loss and a creeping rear wiper that would end up at quarter wipe, even when switched off! Can bus cable issues in the broken loom section. You can purchase a repair section with very flexible silicone wire with the hose part, bought mine online from a spares company in Germany. But I extended the wires so I could splice connect them in the C pillar rather than in roof void by the hatch opening. 👍😃
Yes that's a much better repair. Mine was a temp repair. However over a year later and still working. Next time it goes I'll splice a new loom in place in the c pillar.
Hello, I bought a Fiat 500 Hybrid from 2021... do you know if there is a rear window washer please & if so how does it work please. The rear wiper works just fine. Thank you.
I would have thought it has a washer if it has wiper. To activate the washer push the stalk away from you towards dashboard. You should hear the pump work. From memory it's one bottle for front and rear located under the bonnet. Hope that helps.
@@vintagesteelgarage Apologies I haven't been to my car in the past few days. Pushing forwards activates the front, pulling towards activates the rear. Easy when you know how! Thanks for making it easy - the small things in life...
I would be tempted to let in a new length of wire on either side of the hinge so the repair section isn’t being folded. Depends if you can can access on either side of the hinge etc. Still it works for now so all good.
Thanks for replying 👍. I bought a wiring loom kit to replace some of the damaged wires. All went well with the exception of the connector for the washer pipe. When using the rear washer, the connector gives way 😕. Have purchased a pack of connectors intended for Citroen's as they use the silly corrugated piping too. Fingers crossed it works.
Hi. The Fiat hasn't got sat nav. But in the wife's car it work that you can only alter the voice volume when it's talking via the normal radio volume control. So give that a try.
Hello sir! I just bought my first car Fiat 500 2009 and I am unsure how to turn on my rear wiper, my windshield wiper (front) works fine but I have been wondering how to activate the rear wiper. I hope you can help me out 🥹
On the right hand stalk if you rotate the end part the rear wiper will come on intermittent. If you then also put it in reverse it will come on all the time. Hope this helps

My wiper stopped working. Gave it a jiggle and started working again. Many thanks.

Yep it looks like cable protection not a rubber hose.

Yes I did think that or a loom cut out of another car and jointed in the roof post behind headlining
How did you resolve the washer tubing?
I haven't as yet. TBH I'd completely forgot. Might need to revisit that when it's a little warmer outside.
