SERIES SUMMARY
The Alpha Jay Show reviews animation episodes, animated TV movies, cartoons, and other things as a main series. I have reviewed many things from Fairly Oddparents to SpongeBob to Teen Titans Go to The Amazing World Of Gumball and many more. Expect a fair, open-minded and non-pandering review of whatever episode I use. Bear in mind while I do use copyrighted material, it is highly likely that my content falls under the legal defense of fair use.

Like the new intro? Also, which episode is better?
Alpha Jay Show love the intro and In my opinion it’s the faith
Hi jay I love to watch your videos
It's good I liked it
Ya the pizza is beautiful
W O W
Never understood Larry until I got a job at Target.
I pray to your soul
Target is like the church for Karens
Miller Blaylock exactly
lmao lol
@@millerblaylock and I guess I don't see any Entitled Parents at Walmart or maybe I just don't seem them often.

Its true what they say. "Anything can become an anime"
Alpha Jay is best anime.
I hear that all the time.
Sure. If its Japanese.
*_-Cory in the House-_*
@steelhound duncan thats too broad of a statement. Anime specifically refers to the Japanese style of animation which is different than the western "cartoony" look it often has.
So it's like when the person that did the whole presentation on a group project doesn't come to school on the due date.
DeFleet Exactly.
Literally me right now but I didn't do anything for the project.
This happened to me recently. I did the entire group presentation and I was late for that class. Our teacher threatened my group that we wouldn't be graded for our performance if I didn't arrive soon. LMAO
I did show up 30 minutes late and the presentation was a MESS. None of them studied the lesson.
God, I hated this one group in theatre.. Two kids wouldn't show up. We we're doing summaries of Romeo and Juliet.
My fucking Tybalt. TYBALT WHEN OUR LONGEST SCENE WAS THE FIGHT BETWEEN HIM A ROMEO, AND FRIAR LAWRENCE DIDN'T SHOW UP AND WE HAD TO DOUBLE UP UGHHH

@Muse Suse ok? That had nothing to do with my comment about theatre but alright then

Lillian McEvers I know that’s from somewhere, but where?
I think that with both the Faith and the Pizza. It shows that if any main or known side character was missing, it would make a HUGE difference on Elmore.
I'm pretty sure that's what every show needs, then just the protagonists. Even Rob.
Don't forget the episode where Richard gets a job abc almost destroys the world
@@PeterGriffin11 True. That one too.
*ahem Molly ahem*
That also happens when Gumball stops being the loser, or when Richard tries to have a job. Everything in elmore is necesary, and the things that aren't go to the "world of the universe's errors".
Larry is probably rich though lol
Helo
No, he has the same pay as Nicole if not worse
I personally think nearly everybody should've been trailer trash park poor
larry would be rich if the Wattersons would more careful.
@paletteshire all of which pay below minimum wage

"Larry is a rock"
Larry is THE rock, considering he has to deal with the citizens of Elmore.

That would lead into complete and utter chaos then
You mean if Alan stopped caring.

fun fact about Gumball, his current VA is on CallMeCarson's SMP minecraft server and that's where the "Gumball will eliminate the middle class"
thing comes from.
ah, a man of culture
Oh yeah I love that one
Omg
gamer moment
OHHHH
In the episode the faith, Alan being sad made the world around him loses color; showing how sadness can effect others around you. While Larry in the episode the pizza, is about how we should not mistreat the lower class workers because the lower class also plays a role in how a society functions.
The pizza is the Krusty Krab pizza, the pizza for you and me
Kim Jong-un Will you let go of that pizza?
You forgot the soda
@@TheAlphaJayShow lol now that's Funny 😁😄😁😂
Don't let Squidward eat the pizza.

Larry's a rock!? I always thought he was cardboard.

I thought he was paper lmao
What? I thought he was a cardboard take out box.
lol me too
I thought he was paper mache.
*The Faith. That song really got me in tears*
Ikr
Me too
To my knowledge the explanation for Allen is that well "When someone like him gives up, everyone gives up" so to speak. Allen is sort of a rock and when people see him give up, it makes them think things are truly hopeless. Gumball just takes it to the next level and makes this effect literal.
I prefer the Faith, I just really like their song at the end. I agree it should've shown why Alan suddenly became depressed (which is probably due to Gumball), but aside from that it hits the nail at every aspect.
And the touching ending isn't completely ruined for some lame joke (unlike in some other episode... *cough* the parents *cough* ).
Me too
So sad when darwin hit his neck
Same, I like The Faith more even though I love The Pizza
the joke at the end of the parents is like my favorite joke ever
@@Scoitol same, like, sure, it removes tension, but it’s honestly just a great joke
Another episode kinda like these is the downer. When the darkness starts consuming Elmore. It’s kinda like the grayness in the faith taking over
Sirbanza True. I covered that in a Versus ironically.
I feel like if Alan and Larry quit their responsibilities simultaneously all of Elmore would explode and cease to exist
"cuz there's war and fighting and the bad guy often wins..
so you gotta find some comfort in the smallest little things"
"they're shouting and they're stealing, we got mortgages to pay..
but that's a grown up thing and you're still a kid today"
REMEMBER!
Without Larry, Alan and Mr Small, the world will be destroyed!
Why Mr Small?
@@cerebrummaximus3762 I think cause he's like the peace maker or something
@@faithdoesreallycoolthings + hes just a good character
The Job vs The Pizza vs The Faith, all classic world ending stories
Wow, I didn’t realize the episodes were so similar
Mr. Man Which did you like better?
Alpha Jay Show I liked The Pizza design better, the whole apocalypse was great however I liked the jokes in The Faith better so in the overall scheme of the episodes I liked The Pizza, also the situation gets more resolved in that episode
6:00 Got em
If you look back to the episode of Gumball from the earlier seasons, "The End", where Gumball and Darwin are scared the world will end with an eclipse at the end of the day, you see Richard clearly flip out once Gumball and Darwin told him their prediction. He goes full prepper mode and knocks out a security guard with a fist full of money. So the prepper-y attitude that Richard took in "The Pizza" makes a little more sense to the long-time viewers of the show like us.
Larry has always been my favorite character, but I've always wondered how has he not been hospitalized in any of the episodes? It's said in one of the episodes that he doesn't get to sleep, so that means he's working 24 hours all day everyday. There should have been an episode discussing how he does everything without sleep. Hard worker, but I feel bad for him too.
He takes a 5 minute break once every year or his heart would stop thats what his doctor said
Wait Larry's a rock? I always thought he was just a dude made of cardboard.
All of the little details with your review, your editing, and these two episodes were great. Did you notice how Alan was slightly deflated due to being sad? Also, I like how Gumball dyed the tips of his hair purple.
I thought Larry was a box.
The more you know
puppetuppers same

Same.
@_solareclipz_ he is a rock, which is ironic because he used to be lazy as a rock which was the point of his character
WUt I thought he was a paper bag
I never thought that "The Faith" and "The Pizza" as similar episodes, but okay then.
The way it's similar the town is going into caouce because somebody gave up then at the end the person that gave up faith regains it and the town is peaceful until the next episode
What they both teach you is that war, war never changes. :3
Elmore can’t exist without some people huh
Person: Quits
Society: Chaos
Reason?: Pretty much just Gumball.
Gumball convinces them to return.
WDYM they're different!?
@@PxndaCakes Dude... this was 11 months ago... I can see now 😐
I like The Faith more, mainly because of the song. It really resonated with me because of what was happening in my life at the time.
I was struggling with math in school, to the point where I had to get someone to tutor me just to get through it during the summer. I hated it so much that sometimes I considered just giving up so I didn't have to deal with it anymore. Then this episode came out and the song was so beautiful that I actually cried. That one song almost single-handedly motivated me to get through it, and I really appreciate the episode for that.
Firstly, love the new intro!
Secondly, getting some strong Bioshock/Borderlands vibes from Richard in that outfit. Lol
Javarus Leary Thank you!
I like both episodes but I prefer The Pizza but speaking of both these episodes they reminds of the one episode where Richard gets a job and in doing so almost ends the universe it seems like certain characters in the show must act a certain way or it literally disturbs the flow of their world.
The Faith:
The Plot: 10/10
The Jokes: 9/10
The Characters: 10/10
The Faith: 10/10
The Pizza:
The Plot: 10/10

I love the ending song to “The Faith”
Because of the end of gumball I am benging the series. I am on season 5 and have been watching for 3 days straight. This was a nice break.
What if they will get rid of the amazing world of gumball and made amazing world of Darwin

I think you should do The Dream vs The Sidekick. They both have to do with rivalry between Gumball and Darwin, and coincidentally they’re matching segments for an episode.

How did I never realize Larry is a rock, I thought he was a cardboard box
I think the fact that nothing in particular set off Allen is the point. He wasn't pushed over the edge he was simply grinded down by life in general and how no matter how hard you try your actions will always seem like a drop of goodness in an ocean of not. It was also an exploration on the importance of hope and how much their town was held together because people genuinely care (admittingly usually just Allen), and how bad things got once people simply stopped caring.
The song in “the Faith” about life being beautiful (so the third part) just gets me chocked up
I feel like it would be funnier if they never referenced Larry working every job and it just became more of a running gag
It kind of already was
wasn't "gash darn you all" from a cop a Simpson reference with chief Wiggins?
An episode where the characters basically stay in one place is also known as a "bottle episode" they typically reuse scenes from previous episodes and/or put the characters in the most simple place to animate. They usually do this to save money because they are planning on animating something amazing and expensive in an upcoming episode.
Ah, so that was the joke in that one TTG episode
I don't think Richard's personality majorly shifted at all. It's like in The End, when Gumball and Darwin reveal that the eclipse is gonna be the end of the world, while Nicole and Anais laugh at them, Richard wants them to do something about it because he wants his family to live on after the apocalypse. So the fact that he's actively trying to keep his family safe is perfectly in character for him.
the transition between talking about each episode is just amazing
Please do naughty nautical neighbors vs good neighbors
Nna is the winner
SpongebobPlushieStuff ! I know he will say that because good neighbors is awful
@@funtimeisaiah.8715 good neighbors is overhated and underrated
So they put red and blue together and Said that it was “Bled”....
*It’s called Purple*
I thought Larry was a paper bag.
Considering his job, and the hyper realistic scene in the episode
The Void
Where he...
Wait, was he a rock, or a paper Bag?
I still think he was a paper bag
I don't think Richard had a personality shift, it's just how he acts in appocaliptic scenarios as he did the same in episodes like the solar eclipse.
0:18 that sounds like someone else... but still love the intro!! 💙💖
I don't know, I like that they never really "gave" Allan a reason.
Watching it for the first time, I thought they were going to make a joke at end like, "So what made you lose your faith anyway?"
"Oh I dropped my ice cream cone" or something. And it'd entirely devalue everything Allan just went through. Like it'd chuck him up to just be this pathetic loser that loses his faith at the smallest thing.
I don't know. I like that there really wasn't a solid answer. Even in real life, sometimes you just lose your faith. Over years, months of smaller things where just nothing works right. Sometimes there's no definitive answer to why. You just lose your way, take wrong steps, find yourself in darkness. That's reflected in Allan and I really like that.
He gave a reason somewhat saying that he tries so hard but people like gumball still can't even say anything positive about him and don't even care about everything he does
I don't know why, but I've only been subscribed for 2 days and I'm already getting ADDICTED to Alpha Jay's content!
Great job Alpha Jay, I hope you continue your work successfully. 😀😀😀
*i clicked so fast like KishsnwjiaoHbsbauskao*
This was a great video but imo I think the faith was the better episode.
Amazing world of gumball is a hidden treasure
It’s beautiful
*rip alpha jay*
I like The Pizza a whole lot more. I have great memories of watching that episode.
Moral of the story is that allan and Larry can run elmore by themselves
I like how Jay was surprised by the baseball bat in the one episode and not the thermo nuclear blast in the other.
Bonus points to the attention to detail with the nuke. The visual before the sound can be heard
The Faith doesn’t need the first 10 minutes of the show, and The Pizza appreciates the first 10 minutes of the show.
I’d like to see an episode that flashes to the future where Larry basically owns the town because he became the president of the Rainbow Factory due to him having the best resume in town thanks to all of the jobs he had.
1:40 I read "I will be the one wearing gay"
same
Wait, does that mean he was dating Mr. Small?
6:32 Yup. You heard it here, folks. Alan is literally the Fisher King.
That's actually a really interesting angle to look at the show from.

I never really seen the faith , I should probably give it a watch .

1blackice1 Niceee
The donut cop reminds me of chief wig gum from the Simpsons
The Faith is one of my favorite episodes.
the ep where Richard gets a job is also very similar. Just instead of someone no longer being a part of society, someone who is normally not a part of society becomes a part of society and the world falls into chaos.
The faith episode was really dark to me. I still loved it
I actually liked "The Faith" better for the main reason: The development, Knowing that Gumball is now friends with Alan, which as shown in "The Saint" and "The Traitor" he couldn't stand him, and seeing him try to cheer him up at the end part in the song was heartwarming and the fact that he and Alan are now friends when in "The Pizza" while The Wattersons agree to more kind it's more in a "aware that like everybody you have feelings" relationship then an actually friendship, And that's why I like "The Faith" better
Plus some other reasons: The Episode was funnier then you gave it credit for(To me at less),The episode was varied in it's locations(Unlike "The Pizza"), The Song was great(I must be the 666TH Person who said this) And it's One of the Best Episode in Season 6
My two favorite show ends amazing world of gumball and steven universe
And before THAT, Adventure Time and Regular Show.
The songs are rlly good and Alan’s singing voice is adorable
New intro was fricking amazing bro
9:08 I think the reason they didn’t do that scene is because all the shows are 11 mins and that scene would at least take 1 min to shoot. Which I know doesn’t seem like a lot but it is when you consider that every episode is 11 mins not just some episodes. And yes you could argue that they could have took out a scene to make room for that scene you discussed but to be fair when I watched the episode and rewatched the episode (because it’s one of my favorite episodes) I didn’t even think about why Allen was upset because it wasn’t really that important to explain that.
I like the intro... But you fall from a tree. I hope you got working legs. XD
Alex McNeill Lol
the pizza will always hold a special place in my heart as the first episode of Gumball I ever saw.
I thought Larry was a box
Can I make a request for a possible "Versus" episode? I'd like to see a comparison on Spongebob's Fools in April vs Little Yellow Book; two episodes which feature's Spongebob enjoying his life only for Squidward to do something so humiliating to Spongebob that the town turns against him, mostly to see why one works better than the other.
Cool new intro ^-^
