I watch these Pitch Meetings before the actual film these days. The skittles thing sounds cringe, & frickinnnnnn hilarious considering Skittles are about to be recalled everywhere. But it does sadden me how bad the DCU does, they have gold at their disposal
That's because of the quality of films recently, people would rather watch short summaries than spend time and money on the actual thing.

I actually enjoyed the movie it was dumb fun for me at least.

I like how the news about the Rock ruining the film is being taken very seriously recently
Nobody's saying The Rock ruined the film. They're just saying his ego was costing us even the possibility of a comic-accurate crossover. Furthermore, the real bombshell is that it was Dwayne and the Garcias (Who manage him and Cavill) who forbid the Cavill appearance in Shazam. It's been long blamed on WB and Hamada for that, but now we're finding out they actually tried desperately to get him in there. Levi even clarified he didn't share the news to "blame" the Rock for the film failing, but to protect people like Gunn who was getting harassed online for supposedly "forcing" his wife into the film. When in reality, she was their last resort, not Gunn's choice.

The Rock thought since no one seemed to be in charge of DC he might as well call the shots this is what happens when someone's ego takes over. Bet he got a rude awakening when DC hired Gunn and pushed him aside.
@@dsfddsgh Except he was pulling this shit even when there were people in charge. Remember headless Superman in Shazam? That was because of Dwayne. Him and the Garcias manage Cavill, they kept him away from that. Even Gavin O'Connor's Suicide Squad film that fell apart? Likely fell apart because of The Rock.

It’s Dwayne’s fault bc he refused to have anything to do with the development of the film. I had a good time watching this. It’s unfortunate that Dwayne made it clear from the beginning that he never intended to be the villain bc the villain inevitably loses and he never does.

I’ll wait for streaming on HBO max. I hear WB is already planning to release it digitally next month so they’re definitely ready to move on with that quick turnaround. I’ll go see John Wick 4 this weekend instead

My first thought about Wonder Woman is... Well where does that cut off? As long as they're fresh? It's just.... That's exactly the sort of thing She wanted to do in the 80s film, to the extent that she knowingly commits r*pe. Later She wants to resurrect Superman but can't... Is this a sort of window of time where She's able to raise the dead? I really want to know now, but we won't :( Pmsl

ive been thinking that forever, that john cena would be absolutely perfect as shazam i liked him as peace maker but c'mon him as shazam is a sslam dunk dude, and it would be so cool to see him and the rock fight because of their wwe history. i understand your stance but i personally do place alot of blame on the rock and his ego for the failure of black adam and shazam 2. black adam wasnt responsible for the last 10 years of dc flopping but it was still the feather that broke the camels, back he basically wanted to hijack a character and overtake the dceu the man was on a massive ego trip and the flop caused the reboot. shazam 2 needed black adam not 3 old ladies, but there's alot of other issues with the movie too like the minor adult relationship was a bit disturbing and took me out of the movie, the characters were all awfully written, the pacing was bad, the action sequences were some of the least thought out nonsense ive ever seen in the genre ive never cringed at a superhero 3rd act as much as this. and the ww cameo (which i was excited for) was so odd, out of place, and cringe. this film was a disaster from head to toe, it just seems like no one at the top cared, and the people at the bottom couldn't make it work.
