The Google Pixel 8a features a Tensor G3 chip, AI features found on the Pixel 8 Pro, good size battery to last a full day and you get the latest Android 14. It also has a better 120hz vs the Google Pixel 7a 90hz. The Pixel 8a should make for a solid competitor to the likes of Samsung Galaxy A35, Nothing Phone 2a, and even phones like the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. Hey man i need some advice, should i get the pixel 8a or the iphone 13?
- the iphone can last till 2028-2029, the pixel can last till 2030
- I dont own an ecosystem of devices so it doesnt matter.

Nintendo will hate me but the Samsung Galaxy S10 E 4GLTE snapdragon 855 smartphone with 6GB of RAM and virtual RAM memory expansion is absolutely insanity the phone can run switch games I surprisingly got Pokemon let's go Pikachu to run solid 30fps with upscale of 1080P with more vibrant colours
I'm just waiting for pixel 10 series with tsmc chips next year.

I could get this for $95 overall with some trade in and discounts plus gift card at a particular retailer. I have a 7 so it's a bit of a downgrade but I don't need all the latest bells and whistles. Just looking for smaller form factor and longer support cycle plus that BLUE! What do you think?
The smaller form factor is what I like most and the shape, I think that's not a bad move if you can deal with the less premium experience

tbh if they made it a 120hz ltpo oled display smaller bezels like on the base pixel 8 and slightly better battery and made the price 349-449$ and released the phone with the pixel 8 and 8 pro it couldve sold betterand. Been better

If you buy it through Google-Fi it's only $250. I paid a total of $316 after shipping and taxes. :D

People are complaining about the bezels, meanwhile the real issue is the 18 watts charging speed. Nothing should be less than at least 30 watts in 2024.
They have to cut costs somewhere to get the price down

I think it's worth about $450 so slightly overpriced, I would try to get a discount with a trade-in or wait for it to get discounted soon

With a trade in plus carrier discount and best buy $100 gift card, the cost would be around $95 for me. Do you think at that point it is worth it? I have a Pixel 7 so a bit of a downgrade but I really want a smaller phone and longer support cycle. Plus I'm weak to Blue. What do you think?

$499? For that? With Pixel 8 costing a bit more, Google shot themselves in the foot. $399 would’ve been the mark, but greed took over apparently.
Its $399 with activation on carriers, it will get reduced soon! Pixel A series always gets discounts later on. Apple iPhone SE is $400+ with taxes and has archaic feel.

I picked up the Pixel 7a last year on a sweet carrier deal here in Portugal for only 310€.
This time the 8a has some even better deals 210€ for the 128gbs and 270€ for the 256gbs..
@@TheBNCoutinho I mean I got my 15 Pro Max for $300 on carrier deal, it’s a vastly superior phone for about the same price. The difference is in about 6 months, the 8a will be basically worthless unless you trade it in for another Pixel. Can’t resale it, no one wants them.

Pixels are allegedly made from recycled Samsung Galaxy smartphones so they are cheap looking. Google only contributes 7% the other 93% is Samsung in the making of Pixel phones.
