Really admire the commitment to long videos, but it's criminal to just skip over entire sets. Like here, to properly get a feel for the context of Tsitsipas' comeback win, we need to at least see a few clips of how Nadal took the opening two sets.
As usual, by being agresive ... and then ... by being tired, exhausted :)

Hey guys our Rafa won 2nd Australian open. He did it. I am so happy. My friends let's support Rafa for RG2022♥️♥️♥️
Won that also 🏆
Footwork is close to everything in tennis and ball-striking. Just look a Tsitsipas’ feet at 13.56. Not standing still and placing himself in perfect balance to kill of the point. Just a small detail but sooo crucial.
Without seing yet i consider that with Tsitsipas, just the real "go-through" is back in tennis :)

Rafa blew the tiebreaker and it cost him the match
Yes, when Tsitsipas blew 2 entires sets and it did not cost him the match ;)
TSITSIPAS REALLY KICKED NADAL'S ROUNDED ASS. I AM GLAD, TSITSIPAS WON THE LAST THREE SETS. AMAZING GUY. TAUGHT NADAL A LESSON, NOT TO MESS WITH THE GREEK BOY.
Well, Medvedev and Thiem got their first slam, Zverev got his Olympics gold, what did Tsitsipas get? OH, a bathroom break and a father texting every time he is on bathroom breaks. I'd say Greek boy is quite easy to mess with.

One of Tsitsipas' greatest wins of his career so far. Nadal was cruising for 2.5 sets and then Stef capitalized on Rafa's errors, kept his cool, crushed serves and forehand winners, stayed light on his feet, and then finished with a blistering backhand down the line. Brilliant.
Incredible
I’ve been waiting for this…
I picked Tsitsipas to win this one before the match, and was surprised Nadal won the first two sets so easily. Nadal had been shaky in his previous match against Norrie and I didn't think he'd be able to get past Tsitsipas. Once Tsitsipas won that third set, nadal's level seemed to fall away. It reminded me a lot of how Nadal served for the match against Medvedev at the 2020 ATP tour finals and then just fell away. Signs of the physical problems that were to come for Nadal in 2021.

@@lvlup3173 some time near the end of 2020. And to do it coming back from 2-0 down, immense
when did he beat Nole in a GS?
@@Masterdoctorgenius14 He hasn't beaten Nole , i didn't say he has beaten all of the big 3 in slams but he is the one to have any wins from the biggest touted Next Gen players (Medvedev, Zverev, Shapovalov, FAA etc).
That being said he has almost beaten Novak two times, in the FO Semi Final in 2020 when it went 5 sets and of course the Final this year when he lost it from 2 sets to 0 up. Tough losses but again, he has been very close to beating Novak both times

please upload djokovic vs zverev ao 2021 QF.
The amount of forehand errors Rafa made in this match did him in. The baffling thing is the forehand is his bread and butter. The conditions also played a part as the night set in the ball bounce was less and made the match an equal contest. If not for the errors Rafa would have won in 3 or maximum 4 sets. But Tsitsipas flew like a butterfly in 4th and 5th sets with insane winners.
Let's not forget, there were lots of questions marks about Rafa's physical state coming into this tournament. And I think that's pretty much what happened. Nadal conked out physically. Credit to Tsitsipas for the remarkable comeback! However, if there was a crowd, I don't think Rafa would have lost the match, especially after being two sets up. (Well done Stef though)

@@NG-wx4kw I agree 100% I just said well done to Stefanos for getting an incredible comeback victory, but a crowd could have altered the result, if, as you say, history was written with its.

I am surprised no one in the comments mentioned Rafa's footwork and movement ! It was horrible in this match, plus he looks overweighted so obvious !
Loved the way Tsisipas kicked the butt picker's ass. Future champ.
To me this match proved Nadal can not play at a high level for 5 sets, he has to win in 3-4 sers. Get him past three sets, and you have a chance to win. As soon as Tsitsipas won the third, I knew he'd move on.
hater much
Just an observation... In all the matches he lost this year, Rafa was leading at some point, then he completely disappeared from the match... That's so weird... 🙄 Hopefully something changes starting with Washington 😁
Either it's fatigue and/or fitness, or he's letting the pressure get to him. Fatigue can influence shot precision too
@@ironknightzero But isn't it weird for him to feel fatigue when he actually played the least this year of all the top players? I would rather say lack of rhythm than pure fatigue 🙄
@@tennisradu The more you practice and compete, the higher your fatigue threshold is. So, someone like Novak who's been routinely playing 3-5 set matches consistently has the capacity to go to 5 sets cuz his body's acclimated to it. I dunno how much training Nadal was doing off season, but it does seem like he's been taking off-time without training intensely a lot more frequently lately. Even his practice sessions look low intensity and just shot practice. Novak on the other hand has been getting the bulk of his fitness from actual matches, he's super fit and one of the reasons why he won apart from tactical things like taking the ball earlier and not giving Nadal enough time to get in position. And it's understandable if Nadal doesn't want to risk getting injured by playing more or practicing more, his style of play and age doesn't allow for that.
So the heading says quarter final, yet the man speaking at the start of the footage, says it’s the Semi Final...
Bien España

That was so dumb not letting it drop
Ese Inglés Australiano
Rafa seems to be on the decline now. Djokovic keeps his form better, that’s why he is such a monster. That shows how terrifying the big 3 are.
Yep... I'm a Nadal fan, but honestly he's definitely (I believe) on the downside. And much as I'd not like to imagine it, I have a strong feeling he'll be 0-5 in GS events up to RG 2022, and possibly 0-6 afterwards. At some point he might poke through again, but that will most probably be it... Roger IMO (which I've held from the beginning of the year), is done... He may play on a bit more, as no one can mandate he retire, but his days at the top are no more. The children may continue to argue the point, but no matter...
@@donquixote... hahah.. you mentioned everything i have in my head. True, the children always think anything is possible as long as there is motivation. They watch too much naruto. The older we get, we learn that there is limit to everything
@@donquixote... :) i'm a long time Rafa's hater.
After RG, how exhausted he was, obviously Wimby ws not possible, especially this year.
As usual for years, the next main rendez-vous is the US.
'cause even RG , with a bad ranking, will be harder and harder and impossible to win,
'cause, he worked hard since 2016 to change his (boring ^^ ) game,
I was expecting him to, in a way, sing his last song on this US.
Now ? Last try in AO? RG ? and say goodbye, please.
Undestand , i support Nole, i hope he will do the legendary calendar grand slam on this US,
