In this episode we spend the night at Britannia's popular stay in Blackpool, The Grand Hotel. It definitely has some mixes reviews, I went to see it for myself! Join me on a walk around the full hotel, showing you the facilities, a room tour, cleanliness check, the local area and all topped off with my in-depth review and rating.
For this stay, we didn't use Booking .com and instead got a great dkirect rate of £38 on Britannia Hotels own website. With pay on arrival as well, this was a great last minute deal. We were shocked when presented with a huge room that also had an amazing sea view of the Blackpool seafront. But is it worth the price?

This used to be the Hilton Hotel.thats why it looks so lovely.
Give it 20 years of zero investment and it'll be a tip like all their other hotels.

I've been to the Hotel Sheraton twice and the Elgin once. Both excellent hotels. The Sheraton had slightly larger rooms, but lack of cleanliness was never an issue and the staff were always there to assist with anything. We had passed some of the others on the sea front and didn't like the look of any of them. Going back to the Elgin soon.
Do they have kid friendly entertainment at night?

This hotel was originally a 4 star 'Blackpool Hilton', which is why the foyer/corridors etc are of high standard, but they sold the property. It was then privately owned for a few years before Britannia bought the property...
That's so early for the restaurant to close at 8:30pm. Ridiculous

I stayed there just 1 week before uk went lockdown.... Nice hotel but location is far away from plesure beach i had to get tram

Personally I would never stay in a Britannia Hotel, too many bad reviews, don't want to waste my money :) Live in Manchester and we have one in the City Centre, not for me haha Nice to watch the review :)
This one was a surprise!
I’ve been got this hotel many times for executive annual meetings with HP. t was so rundown!. I returned for a 40th Sapper reunion, and as the Grand Hotel. I has not changed at aill- still naf, but on arrival found a pound doin in the middle of the carpet- so not been cleaned! !Britannia hotels has not affected their rank reputation here!

The best hotel in Blackpool for me is the Boulevard wouldnt stay anywhere else in Blackpool
BEST HOTEL in Blackpool is DUTCHMAN hotel , great service clean as a whistle and eat what you want carvery breakfast. And great bar in the Dutchman .

PARTS OF THIS HOTEL APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN UPDATED AND THE ROOM ITSELF LOOKS AS IF IT COULD DO WITH UPGRADING, PRICE WAS NOT BAD BUT THEN AGAIN THIS IS A BRITTANIA HOTEL WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT ????.
