since the first moment in 1987 that i encountered this masterpiece, i have listened to so many performances. this is the best i have ever heard. i can see that the orchrestra members are enjoiying it, which is surprisingly rare for professional players. hong sisters are leading all the scene.
They seem to "enjoy" playing even more than the soloists I think, but yes a great performance,
She sounds like Jascha Heifitz and Yehudi!!!!!!! The phrasing is so incredibly sung from them both!!!!!!!!!
The Hong sisters have wonderful sound, color, phrasing, technique, musicality, ensemble, etc. Incredibly good performers. And the orchestra is great as usual. Nice direction by Luisi. Tak!
it was so lovely . very very thoughtful and delicate performance. from the very beginning, i could instantly see the hong sisters, conductor, and the orchestra put so much energy to this masterpiece.

This is my favorite Brahms Concerto, I know each note from memory and really love it. This is a top class performance, both soloist and orchestra are at the highest level possible.

How very. beautiful ! This lovely interpretation brings to mind nobility, love, and fire; along with a love duet, not a race to the finish. The last movement is a dance shared, that lofts back and forth, playing in every sense with a wonderful orchestra of superb musicians! It will be a great pleasure to hear this HONG DUO in a LIVE concert, with another gorgeous Brahms or .... what ? Thank you !
