Thanks George. Another excellent video. I wasn’t aware of this feature.

Thank you George, that was a great explanation about why to use CV Lock. Also, that poor Milwaukee E7, the ultimate Guinea Pig engine.

George Great info, If I lock all my Engines with Tsunami 2 decoders then would it be safe to make CV changes on the main track? I always take the engine to my work bench and use the programing track I have there to make my CV changes.

You can make CV changes on the mainline. Each of your decoders should have a unique address so the changes will not apply to them all - jut the decoder that you are talking to.

Hey Soundtraxx, how do you install a 21 pin decoder in a Atlas cab car?

Will CV lock also prevent CV corruption due to electrical transients or conductivity interruptions?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC

Our decoder’s CVs do not get corrupted by scrambled DCC commands, or voltage corruption, but if you would feel safer with lock, then use it. I personally have yet to have any CV get ‘scrambled’ on a SoundTraxx decoder.

@@SoundtraxxDCC I've never seen that issue with any of my Soundtraxx equipped locos, either. I have seen it on several occasions with a certain other brand. Thus my question.
