    If there is one lesson I have learned from Mike Haduck, it's that it's not a big deal and I shouldn't make a project out of it. Thanks, Mike!

    I recognized the place, looked at your playlist and found the video you posted 13 years ago.
    According to the 👍, I hade watched the video. Unfortunately I didn't make an comment, could have bee fun to see what my words were back then.
    Safe to say since I'm still watching your CZcams channel 13 years later, I was convinced and a true fan of yours.
    And worth mentioning. For all those years, your the only masonry I have watched.
    Why fix something when it ain't broken?
    Thank you so much again Mike 🤝

    Hi Mike, I have a question.
    Last summer I restored 2 stone outdoor grills and a stone picnic area at a city park. The picnic area has walls about waist high, is covered by a roof, and also has a stone fireplace/grill. Built in the early '30s I feel pretty sure THE CCC built them.
    The mortar used though had Type M strength.
    This summer I have a project that was also built in the 30s, and is near that city park.
    Limestone was used on both projects.
    This summers project has 4 stone columns supporting a cement arch. The mortar used on the current restoration is exactly the same as the park mortar.....type m strength, granular looking mortar.
    No lime in either project.
    The old local historian says gunite was used on the arch.
    Never seen mortar like this before.
    What gives?

    • @MikeHaduck
      @MikeHaduck  Před měsícem

      Hi Patrick, I can't say, every mason up to the late 90s used their own mix for their area, this type n,m,s, confused everybody, I show what I used in each of my videos for each of my products in pa, that's the best I can do, Mike

    • @patrickcooley6849
      @patrickcooley6849 Před měsícem
