Not just the boss theme. The entire X soundtrack is one of, if not THE greatest soundtrack in gaming history. Absolutely every single composition stands out, and slaps HARD still to this day. X2 and 3 had a few decent tracks but the OG X is by far the best. I'll tell you another fantastic SNES OST to check out if you're a fan of X (and it would translate to metal really well), this one gets slept on alot though: Sunset Riders.

Something about this remix, I don't know if it's the bass, guitar, or both, but it suddenly reminds me of the music from the first Terminator when Arnold is chasing them through the tunnel and Michael Beihn is throwing pipe bombs at him. I've played this game since its initial release back in 1993, and I've watched the first Terminator hundreds of times, and I never put the 2 together until just now. This is a fantastic remix btw. I might have to listen to it the next time I'm on the treadmill.
