  • Hello mga dzai, dzoi! I decided to make a vlog about my teaching journey here in Canada. I was a Public School Teacher back then in the Philippines but I already got my professional teaching license in Canada in just 3.5months of application. I did not do any upgrading nor further examination; however, each application is unique (my assessment results could be different from yours). Trust the process; you'll get there! Good luck 😉

You have to decide po which province kayo magpapa assess para you'll get an idea sa mga requirements na needed then submit nyo lang po so you know if ano results ng assessment. I know someone na wala sa canada pero nasa New Zealand siya and nabigyan siya ng teaching license kahit wala siya sa canada; ontario yung province na inapplyan nya po. • @MelanieQuimson2020
      @MelanieQuimson2020  Před rokem

      It really depends on the assessment of the board of education. I think they can reconsider it but they might ask for an upgrading. I have known someone who has her papers evaluated and she was a university professor teaching for more than 15 years at the same a doctor's degree holder but the board asked her to do a 9-unit upgrading in a Canadian university. While on my case, I did not undergo upgrading nor bridging courses. I automatically got my license. So, it really depends on all the credentials you have submitted since they will also based it off your curriculum and courses taken including your IELTS academics score.

      For early childhood educators, you have to comply with the requirements for certificate - it is part of the protocol. The ECE certificate application is easier compared the school teacher certification. If you are planning for the school teaching license, you have to go through more steps compared to ECE. But I believe it will be way faster on your end given that you have prior experience and education.
