Cheers Brian. Basement looks like it's going to be great!!! Kid in a candy store!!!
Thanks Man!! Should be nice after it is done! Cheers!
Looking good can't wait to see it completed.
Me either!! Going to be a lot of fun doing it! Cheers! 👍🍻
Keep up the good work. Best regards to Kelly too.
Thanks Cristiano!! Cheers! 👍🍻
This is going to be A--MAZING, Brian! Lucky that you got the rain BEFORE the basement was finished :)
I know it was a Bittersweet moment to find water in the basement. But I would much rather find it now then after I got everything done I would really be upset. Cheers Thomas! 👍🍻
I like that everything you do, you do it as professional as possible!! Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Thanks!! I try! 👍🍻
Cant wait for the video on the vent hood. I have some plans for my basement and most curious about that part.
Yeah this one is not going to be your ordinary vent situation for sure I don't have a way to vent directly to the outside from the side wall of the basement. It's going to be interesting, it will pipe into the garage, up the garage wall, and then out the roof through vent. It should be fun to watch LOL
You should look into a steam condenser instead of a vent hood. A pretty successful design can be seen on this thread: Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Yeah!! I know Peter pretty well. I think Bobby from Brew Hardware is currently working putting together a kit for them as well. That is an idea, however, I really don't want to use several gallon of water while brewing. I am on a septic system and want to minimize as much excess water into as possible.
Dude, you have no idea how we have been going through withdrawal of your videos and reviews. I've had to watch all your previous ones so many times, I wore out a CZcams account!! Seriously though, good to have you back. Plans sound great, good luck with the builds. Can't wait to see it all finished.
Oh man!!! Thanks Brian! Good to be back to making them! Been serious withdrawal from not making them!! Cheers Brian! 👍🍻
Gonna get all ripped with all the jack hammering... Going to be very nice when you get the spaces completed. Cheers, Brian! \m/
More like a jello jigglers commercial! LMAO Cheers Brian!! 👍🍻
Great video! A really important part of brewing that we don't see enough of. Thanks!
Thanks! I'm gonna try to get as detailed as possible without being boring. Cheers Jarrod! 👍🍻
I like the faux wall. Great to see you doing vids again also
Cool! I do to.. It is fun! They have quite a few cool ones I might swap out from time to time. Good to be back making them!! Cheers Scott! 👍🍻

Awesome Brian. Looking forward to see the finish build 😀
I know I've been chomping at the bit for a while now it's good to get started. 👍🍻
Nice call on fixing the problem, before doing the stealing work!
ps.... That coozy looks cool.
Yeah I am not interested in doing a bunch of work and hanging to redo it. The cozy is awesome. Had a cutout so that your lip doesn't contact the coozy!! Cheers! 👍🍻
Love the floor plan!! Can't wait to see it take shape!
RIGHT!! Time to make it all a reality!! Cheers Josh! 🍻👍
Hey Brian great to see your moving along on the basement and I love the well thought out design !
I’m looking forward to the rest and finally getting to sit at the bar and drinking your beer mate 😁
Sounds like a plan!! lol You can come over after it's done! Cheers Steven! 🍻👍

Thanks Rob! Can't wait to get back to some live brew days!! Cheers! 🍻👍
Brian I just found your videos, thanks for being consistent
Sure.. There are a bunch more on the basement build.. Once I get that done I should be even more consistent! Cheers Nick! 👍🍻
Looks like a great Plan Brian! Cheers
Thanks Eric! Cheers!! 👍🍻
Been waiting for this video Brian! Looks amazing and cannot wait to see the progress while you build this out! Cheers!
Thanks Todd!! How's the Haze for horses coming along?
Came out great Brian...beautiful color and haze. A real juicy NEIPA. Check out our Instagram account for pics of it. instagram.com/2ten90_brewing/?hl=en
Will email you about getting you a can to try.
Very NICE!!! Awesome color! looks like a great one. Would love to participate in the live tasting!
Looking forward to the build buddy! :)
Thanks buddy same here with your new brewing equipment I can't wait to see what you come up with. Cheers Tom! 👍🍻
Awesome plan. I wish I had the budget for a floor drain but I went cheap. Good call with the angles. That will always be in your way if you hadn't. Cheers!
Yeah the Larry place was soooo much easier than this one for the floor drain. I really like having one though. So much easier. Yeah 8 struggled with how to make that work before putting the for at an angle. Cheers Wally! 👍🍻
Great update! Sounds like you’re doing it right the 1st time. I do like to background 👍 I’m sure however it turns out it will be perfect! Cheers
Thanks Kenny I really appreciate it! I'm trying to wrap all of the knowledge that I learned from building the first one up into improving this one. This one has a lot of challenges, I didn't even talk about the ventilation issue yet. But this will definitely be a video series on just about any sort of issue that you might have building a brewery in the basement for sure. Cheers Kenny!
Waterproofing in my country is very different. Building code up here where we have a lot of wet days is different. Anyway, good update. Cheers
What do they make you do up there for waterproofing?
Short Circuited Brewers We dig outside all the way down around the concrete fundation and nail on a thick plastic. Fill with coarse gravel 3 ft out from fundation. Inside it`s very important that concreate breathe and is not locked in with paint. This will let the concreate dry and not mouldy. Floor can be covered with waterproofed plastic, like the one in your bathroom flooor. Then floor tiles. This is building code up here
Sounds like a good code!
Short Circuited Brewers Well, we got a lot of rain and snow up here. We also use special 20 ft of gutter tubing to get the water away from the house. This is not mandatory but many do this to avoid water soaked basement
That's a good floor plan for sure. However, I've found after 18 years of having a bar in my basement that it only gets used a couple times per year as most of my social activities occur upstairs or outside the house in the garage or patio. I wish in hindsight that I never had it and instead was turned into a more useful space.
Yeah I thought about that too. I am going to have my arcade machine and a pinball machine down there too. The other thing is that with the house being a split level the bar/brewery will only be 3 stair treads away from where we currently spend a lot of time already. Cheers Larry!! 👍🍻
Short Circuited Brewers Excellent
Nice coozy
Haha!! Thought you might recognize that! Thanks for the gift! 👍🍻
Glad your enjoying it
Nice plan Brian. Good impression of the jackhammer 🤣. Do you plan on using a wet saw first to cut thru the cement? Maybe make the storage room behind the bar a cold room and run your tap line from there. Cheers, it’s gonna be awesome now matter what you do. 🍺🍻
Yeah I'm trying to figure out what I want to do as far as the concrete goes. I have a diamond blade for my circular saw. But man is that dusty!! Only place I really need precision edges is the floor drain. I want to slope down around it smoothly to guide any liquid to the drain. We'll see how it goes.. Stay tuned!! 👍🍻
hey Brian. I would recommend renting a concrete core saw. It has an attachment for a hose to keep the dust down. I've burned out the motor trying to saw through concrete with my circular saw before. Even though you said you only need precision lines for the drain you should still use the core saw for the plumbing line from the drain to the sump pump. Then jack hammer the concrete inside the saw lines. It makes for a cleaner finished look, plus you don't want a stray crack to splinter off in your foundation slab. Sorry to run on. Good luck.
No problem! Thanks for the advise and explanation! I will check it out! Thanks! 👍🍻
Is that Solidworks? No grain silos? With the addition of the sludgepump, where is the bathroom going to be? Cheers Brian.
Sketchup... The bathroom is just up the steps and to the left. already there in the house lower level. The pump is just for the sink and floor drain.. Crazy I know. Cheers!!
Finally!!! ;)
RIGHT!! Cheers!! 👍🍻
Glad to see you back Brian keep up the great work. Question do you need an exhaust fan if you use the electric system. looking to build my own, and going to follow along with you. Thanks
I would definitely advise exhausting the steam from your Brewing area, especially if you are in a basement the extra moisture can spell problems mold that type of thing. There are no noxious fumes or anything like that to exhaust, just the steam. It is great to be back Chris! 👍🍻
Hey Brian, do you mind sharing plans for this home brewery build? The videos are great but if you have documentation plans, specs on this build it would be appreciated. I'm starting my build in a newly renovated space.
Sorry I don't have any plans I built it from the hip. Didn't have a plan only a final vision. 👍🍻
I can answer any questions you might have though.
Nice, Will look forward to the build vids, what size is the space you`ve got to work with, Cheers
Thanks Clive! Should be a fun journey!!
Which waterproofing compound will be using on your block wall? Thanks and great video!
It was a product from Menards. I went with the highest PSI strength that they had. Cheers Scott!! 👍🍻
Saw cut first before you jackhammer you will end up with much cleaner trenches.
Most definitely! That's what I did in the last brewery. I want the trenches to be nice and clean, with what I am doing for the floor in the space. Cheers Robb! 👍🍻
Cool 3D render, what software did you use?
I used Sketchup. It is a free online 3d editor. There are a TON of models to use in your designs with it as well. The chairs, sink, brew table, fridge, and kegerator were all models I got from the "warehouse" It is great for designing all kinds of stuff. Cheers!! 🍻👍
