74 out of 100. I am. 72. Queen is a British band.
Cat Stevens as well as Queen are British rock stars
And they both suck..
No they don’t, hater.
@@garythegman9680 They only suck for losers 😂
I even knew they were both British and I wasn't even that cool then.
Correct I abandoned the quiz after the Queen mistake!!
Except for the ones I got wrong, I got them all right!!
Bwahaha! Very good!

LOL
There's nothing wrong with your mental accuity...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@ajfoxw me too...
I am 69 and my memory is ok. However, some of these are so obscure and have not been told, ever!
I didn’t know several of these because I never heard of them before now.
Multiple guess is great! A one in three chance to get it right.
Queen is a British band, not an American band.
14. Points। I। Scored,R,K, Singh
I am 72 and i got 77 of them correct! The questions from the 1950 era were hard since i was young child at that time! Felt i did ok!
Starbuck was opened in 1976. It was printed on their cups for years.
I decided to drop out after you called Queen an American band. Exposure to you is bound to rob me of the few sound brain cells I have left.
As a mental health professional, I believe I can confidently say you have NOTHING to worry about!
@@stevehuggett2098 Ha!
@@muchomacho2504
You, on the other hand........!
@@stevehuggett2098 ....Know the difference between Britain and America!

I've lived in both places....and more, can you say the same, @muchmacho2504, truthfully?
Before you try to teach another, learn all there is to learn about the subject matter.
The more you say to me, the more you tell me (unconsciously), about yourself; and your insecurities are all, all the while, screaming to me from the bleachers, to help you find out who you are!
There's a person in there somewhere, but even your avatar tells me you feel the need to hide.
Why are you so afraid, my friend, and of WHAT?
I mean you no harm; quite the contrary, I'd like to help you conquer your fears.
I spent a lifetime protecting people, and studying in Universities, hoping to make a difference.
Clearly I have plucked a nerve with you, or you'd have moved on!
How can I help you?
What do YOU think I can do to help you in your struggles?
Question 18 about Ireland is totally wrong. Ireland became a republic in 1949 and never declared itself socialist.
1921 actually.
I was only vaguely paying attention as my mom watched this and got so thrown by referring to Queen as an American band that I am now suspicious of the accuracy of their trivia.
I always thought that !Queen was an uk group.
This channel is terrible Lots of inaccuracies and all questions so so so easy as well. Nixon,Moonshots etc are 1960s/70s not 50s
@@robertprivett1525 I thought the same. Especially after the epic movie Bohemian Rhapsody.
Accurate to American standards
Ok whose supposed to know this stuff? Really?
Q18. Ireland declared as aRepublic in April 1949 not 1961. Really a very serious error!!. Even though most of the questions were 'American' I got 82 correct. And I am 75 , was born in, have always lived in Ireland.
And imagine Éamon de Valera or Sean Lemass as .. socialists ..? Brendan Corish, with his mild Leo XIII/ John XXIII change of attitude in Ireland/ Christian Socialist stuff*, in the Labour Party .. but, I mean really, please - make me laugh, do ...!
*'Socialist by the Seventies' .. well it is rare and 'socialistic' now - if central State Control is anything to go by. ;o)
Glad you pointed THIS out!
This was my era. I throughly enjoyed this.
Thanks
Even tho I lived through most of these time period questions, I had no more interest in the answer then than I do now, can't recall something I never knew.
i love your answer lol
I answered the questions by using logic. Ex: who was alive then.
You need to make sure you give the right answers! Queen is a BRITISH band
Age 75. 71/100. Queen is a British band.
Guess I should add one more to my score of 81. That is what I said in protest.
That's what I got, but some say they missed fewer than 6. Yeah, right.
Since people expect us to believe they missed less than 10, I didn't miss a single one.
Wauw 🤩
Good Response ! Not good questions for a "MEMORY TEST" !
I was going through so much hell in life above normal I don't remember any of this. I'm glade I'm still here in my right mind
Most questions are directed at US citizens and I suspect only Americans would get most right, except of course for the question about Queen. How could he get this so wrong.
I only couldn't remember 3 and I am Australian?
And he thinks Cat Stevens is American. What an idiot.
And Cat Stevens!
Totally agree heavily leans to the USA , they are not renown for knowing world history !
I agree,I lived there for a year and found them to be a dim lot. Can't recall how many times I was asked where South Africa was.@@margueritedilosa2944
I'm 74 years old,95 out 100.Thanks Quiz Time.
Age 74, Score 80. Not bad for a non-American eh? Thanks for the quiz.
Me too 80
Number 35. Queen are from the UK, not an American band.
Queen was not an american band, they were british.
So was Cat Steven's....
I'm 78 soon to be 79. I got 95 correct, missed only 5 and they were questions set in the late 40's early 50's. I was 5 years old in 1950.
Me too and I am British.
One way or another...Queen was a great band....loved em and still do
Surprisingly, I did pretty well, considering I’m Asian in my 80s and vaguely familiar with American history and politics.
Considering that I came to the states in the 50s, and was only 10 yrs old, and didn't know the language, getting 60 out of 100 I'll say I did good, the 60s and 70s questions were a breeze.
As an 80 year old Australian and only lived in my country I scored about 60%, Cat Stevens ( Muslim convert) and Queen are British.
You should indicate that this quiz is mainly for Americans. This has nothing to do with memory. You either know the answe or not. One cannot remember what one doesn't know. Nevertheless I score 80.
Agreed. Nothing to do with memory when some of the answers were names you’ve never heard of, particularly if you’re not a U.S. citizen. I hate to think what the average U.S. person of say 18 to 25 would score - hmm maybe 10 - 😂
I was thinking the same thing...
@@paullewis2413
BTW: Queen were formed in London (that's 'london, England') in 1970.
Queen was formed. Queen is a group title thus singular.
@patriot9183 good point, thank you!
Why did Americans go to England to form a band?
Because they are all British! although Freddie Mercury was born (I believe) in Zanzibar....@@dough9512
96/100 Queen was not an American band they were British.
Cat Stevens not American either!
I just had my 77th birthday, so I was curious as to how I would do...your questions, though some were inaccuratly worded or answered, either weren't as difficult as I expected or I retained more and guessed better than I expected!! It was fun taking your test...I scored 96/100, not bad for an old lady born at the begining of the Baby Boom! LOL😊🧓🌹♥
77 last May, welcome to the club!
But didn’t they refer to the 50s-60s as baby boom? You were born in the 40s. Right?
Born 46, now 77. Could have been clearer in questions but entertaini
@@IMWeira me too. 77 last September. He has already been roasted over the Queen gaf.
The choices for the first woman to reach the summit of Mt. Everest included two men! And as for the question about a Swiss watch, the wrong answers were not even Swiss. Most disturbing was referring to Queen as an American rock band.
I only got 76 answers right. I am 77 and only a kid in the 50’s but did better in later decades.
I got only 35 right answers and I’m 79 years old
Thank you QuizTime 👍👍
95/100
I did them quite well. I am 82 years old. I enjoyed the quiz please do more
‘ar, ‘ar, pants on fire 🔥
I am 78 and my memory is ok! 80% correct.
I am84 still have good memories
77/100 That was fun! Thanks.
I was drafted in 1966 to go to vietnam.
Maybe you are referring to a specific change, but the draft was called lottery in 66 because I sarcastically referred to it as the only lottery I ever won.
I got 12 wrong.
Thank you for serving and fighting for my country.
Failed on 15. Almost all of them on American stuff. I am 78. The quiz spanned 4 decades!
I really enjoyed these, did really well too.
i'm 78 and got 76 right. so the mind is still working.
if you believe both the band Queen and the singer/songwriter Cat Stevens are American you need to employ some with basic knowledge to set the answers, both Cat Stevens and Queen are British, and to suggest Tenzing Norgay was a woman is an insult to the man who first climbed Everest.
At least they had Queen as British in #68, even if they added to the confusion by calling Fleetwood Mac American just before
@@richardball3585 In fairness although Fleetwood Mac started as an all British band, now with the addition of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, they are best described as Anglo American.
I agree, but with John McVie, Mick Fleetwood and Christine Perfect as the other members, the majority is still British.....@@jamesreynolds2867
@@richardball3585Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac were British, next generation were British/American!.
He’s an American! I’m surprised that all the answers weren’t “American” because most Americans think they are “God’s Chosen!”
Question 8 the question is "what -American tennis player.BUT Margaret Court is an AUSTRALIAN.Are the Americans trying to pinch her also.
Nope, this quiz is.
I managed to score 81...thank you
Well done!
I was drafted in 1968 HMMM! must have got a head start
The question was about the draft lottery, not the draft itself.
This is only a test of memory if you assume that people ever knew the answers in the first place.
Scottish and proud of it
I'm 85. 87 correct, including the two that you got wrong - Queen and Antonio Carlos Jobim. 😊
Stopped after 11 questions. Only tried it because it said 1950s trivia, All the questions were about the 60s and 70s.
I didn't keep track, but I got most of the American politics, and a lot of the history ones wrong. I was never one to listen to the news in the 50s and 60s, so it's not surprising. Some Canadian questions would have been nice in this mix, seeing as I am Canadian.
72, and a lot of questions I never knew.
but there are some who claim to have missed 5 or fewer.
I'm 81 & got 82 right, brain is still working pretty good😊
110 out of 100. I answered some before he even posed the question. (THats more honest than some of the posters below)
good one. still chuckling
THANK YOU!
I didn't know the Vietnam draft started in 1969
The draft was in place well before 1969, but they held a lottery in 1969 to determine who would get called first. The lower the number, the greater were the odds that you would be called. My number was 4, but I aged out (turned 26) before they called me up.
Draft LOTTERY was the key word.
Question 35 - I did not realise that Queen where American !! Please correct this
Same for Cat Stevens - he was British
90 out of 100 and I’ll be 60 in 7 weeks lol
Well done!
I scored 89/100 ... not bad for an old geezer like me. Some clarifications needed:
Q35 ... Freddie Mercury (RIP) would be upset that you called Queen an "American rock band "... it is clearly British
Q80 ... Either The Space Race or The Cold War accurately describes the conflict between USA and USSR; either answer is correct
61 not bad for a 79 year old
I'm 79 and got all of them right.
Not bad at all.. And I learned a bunch of stuff along the way that I never heard of.
And in the fall I'm 81!😅
80 out 0f 100. Born in 1950 in Asia, but didn't come to the USA until 1973.
And, amazing as it sounds, a girl from Ipanema really did inspire Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim and Portuguese poet Vinicius de Moraes when they spotted her on Rio de Janeiro's famous beach. They composed the song in 1962, and it became a hit in 1964 when it was recorded by Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz.
Joāo Gilberto played guitar on the song.
31 right, Im 80 if I remember right 🤣🙄🤗
Queen was British.
I missed 26 out of 100. Really enjoyed the challenge though. 😊
Okay so I got 50 right try and do better next time around. Thank you
I have no reason to know most of this unless I was studying for a trivia quiz. Never focused much in when car came on the market.
52 and Scottish
76 RIGHT AND I AM 70 YEAR OLD
I’m 74 and got a score of 84, although I would argue 85 because although both Antonio Carlos Jobim and Joao Gilberto were involved with The Girl from Impanema, ACJ actually wrote it.
64/100 70yrs old
About 50/50. Good guesser
I am 70. 94 /100 Some events I just did not care about.......easy to forget
This wasn't really a memory test. It was a knowledge test. I was born in 1951. How could remember world events that happened in the early 50's
Cat Stevens is British no 66
I was a kid in the 50s so anything that was in the news at that time meant nothing to me
By #30 i have 3 or 4 right. Decided i didnt need to take any more!!!
Now that's funny, Got to give you a thumbs up.
I'm 76 & got 75. Most of ones I got wrong were quite American based
For 70-80 year olds, you do it WAY TOO FAST!!!… what’s yhd rush???
90% right
I'm 76. 71/100
I'm 74 and got 88 of them right.
I am 75 and I was lucky to score an 80 on this exam.👨🎓
80 y/o. Got 88 right, although I have to admit to having to guess on a few.
😜👀🤪🤷You got the WRONG Guys Pal, I was cooking, cleaning cleaning dirty floors, feedy my relatives after my Mama passed away 😜
Got 75 out of 100 correct ! 🎉
Great!
89 ….pretty good 🥂🍾
It has nothing to do with memory. Its General Knowledge.
I'm 80. 86 outta 100
Cat Stevens is also British.
73 out of 100
70
Nice 👍🏻
Also Jobim wrote and first performed Girl from Impenema
I'm 57 and I missed 15. Oh man. I wasn't alive for a lot of that stuff. Lol.
Queen were British not American.
28
85/100 but I am from the Uk so didn’t think that was to bad
I'm 83 and I got 69 correct. Didn't do very well on the bands as I never listened to them. Also not well on some inventors and world stuff - never heard the names before.
I answered 82 questions correctly,
