- the guy getting shot directly through the cranium and promptly turning around to see who shot him
- the pause before realizing the revolver is empty, and the way he so casually reloads
- the foreboding whistle of the mini-nuke slowly flying towards him from out of frame while he so casually reloads
- the mini-nuke flying through his f*cking shoulder like he isn't even there
- the flabbergasted attempt to process the whole thing afterwards

There's so much good luck in this like 25 second combat sequence. Even his positioning is lucky, if he was at a slightly different angle or there was a higher wall behind him the nuke still would've killed him.

Fun Fact: even IF the nuke hit him, VATS gives you a whopping 90% damage reduction during the firing sequence. That’s better than any power armor you could ever find, and all you need to do is press Q and m1.

Hitboxes are defined by geometry lod and fire lod.
Which are cubes that are inside the character.
For instance every truck in a videogame; its geometry lod looks like a tesla cybertruck; which is where i think elon got the idea from.

The initial hesitation.
The missed shots at the start.
The enemy turning around with a much bigger gun.
The pause followed by the panicked reload.
The whistling sound followed by the missile approaching his head.
The missile narrowly missing and floating past.
The Kill shot being delivered with the enemy's head exploding.
The turning around just in time to see the mushroom cloud that was intended for you.
You honestly could not have storyboarded this any better if you were directing a scene in a movie.

I tested it out quite alot.
While aiming in vats, you're unprotected, but during the shooting sequence, you can't ne harmed
Every fallout experience is unique. Every single one.😂
Other than the mini nuke clipping through you this entire this is so perfect and absolutely a bethesda game. The way your first shot misses, the way the camera just dramatically zooms in and out in vats as you do nothing and then eventually reload, the way you hear the nuke coming at you as it whistles across the sky, and then the best part when you get enough time to turn around and see the nuke go off. Absolutely flawless.

Blade Vamp not in fallout 4. Everything is slow mo unlike fallout 3 or new Vegas where time stops. You can still take damage in vats.

In any fallout game, u can take damage during VATS. The only difference is that in fo3 and fonv, u can't take any damage during the targeting phase as it freezes time until u initiate it.

He'd be fine regardless. He's essential in this game, Rex is essential in New Vegas as long as you're not in hardcore mode, and Dogmeat in Fallout 3 is practically invincible.
