  • It's no secret that pressing your seams is one of the most crucial steps to making garments that look great. But, hauling around a full-size iron can be very cumbersome and even working in your own home sewing space can be annoying when trying to press certain seams with a full-size iron. So, I'm showing you just a few of the ways I've been able to use the new Oliso Mini Iron.

    Love a mini iron! Got the Rowenta yrs ago but it died after falling on the floor at least 20 times! You can do anything with those! Super hot and steamy, now you got me with this little one! Got to have it! Christine

    I quilt and I prefer the smaller iron. It makes it soooo much easier to get the seams down. I also love my wool felt iron pad.

    for the senior crowd the size and weight are wonderful. My mom really enjoyed my travel iron when she was visiting. Great sales pitch!

    Thank you for such a good review 👍🏾 So many reviews I’ve found were straight out of the box with no consideration to long term use. You’ve used the iron for months and tested it’s effectiveness.💕💕

    It definitely looks really cute. Remands me a bit of my husbands bosch mousse sander when he is preparing something that needs to be painted, it has like the same ergonomic look. The examples you are showcasing were very well chosen. You put a lot of work in making great tutorials for us.

      Thank you for acknowledging that!! A lot of thought goes into each video. The goal is that no one can really tell how much, but when I you can, I appreciate the appreciation for it! :-*

    Ive never looked into small irons before. My MIL has one that has a handle like a curling iron and a small flat arrow head for the “barrel” part. But I didn’t like that at all because you had to press hard with your wrist. My iron is super heavy so I just ordered. I’m excited to use it with my women’s apparel sewing and my quilting. I’m sure my wrist will love it too!

    I use my mini iron when I don't feel like getting up and using the big iron for certain things. This iron looks great.

    I got the big Oliso. It's much too heavy and the cord is very annoying. I'm going to try this one. It looks perfect!

      Agh! No! I missed that somehow. I’ll film it and get it up this weekend. I don’t drink alcohol but I’ll keep that in mind! Lol!!

    I’m intrigued. Website does not say how much water it holds. My Rowenta holds 1 cup and runs out too quickly. Do you know approximately how much this holds? Also does it continuously steam or do you have to hold the button down?

    • @InsidetheHem
      @InsidetheHem  Před 5 lety +1

      It holds about a cup of water but it lasts a good amount of time. I think because the steam is more controlled than other irons I’ve used. It does not continuously run the steam. The steam only comes out when you push the buttons. And even then, it’s just a short burst.

    Hi, would you please tell me how well does it steam vertically. Let's say if your trying to steam a top or scarf on a hanger instead of putting it down. Please and Thank you 😊

    • @InsidetheHem
      @InsidetheHem  Před 4 lety +1

      I’ve never tried to use the steam vertically. I have a separate hand held steamer for that. Super inexpensive from amazon.

      @@InsidetheHem oo would you mind linking it ? I bought the conair expensive one for a trip overseas but it stopped working I'm guessing bcuz of the voltage. It got super hot fast and started spitting water.

    The iron looks like a cute toy. Can u warm up a tortilla on the iron?

  • @RhondaLorch

    I do not recommend Olisio products at all. I bought the iTouch iron which raises itself off the fabric when you remove your hand from the handle. Literally 3 days after the warranty expired, the touch function ceased to work. It will without warning sometimes engage the ‘feet’ and then you have to manually turn a switch to get them to retract. Olisio was totally unhelpful - basically said tough luck. Not at all pleased with the most expensive iron I have ever owned.

      I just found out that the itouch can be rebooted so it will raise and lower feet! Call customer service.
