First off, I love this man. Second off, I'm thrilled he won a Grammy. Thirdly, I'm overjoyed that he was the one to say what we were all thinking, and still win. They should give this man a special award just for this.
Ray simply put,is a blessing! In a brotherly way,I love ya man,I truly do. The practice of humility, the fruit of your heart and soul,is seen and heard through your writings, your music, your singing. It reaches out to so many, and has blessed us all. I apologize for having found you so late, but don't listen to the radio much anymore;simply because what you have brought back to music ,seemed to have been lost for a while. ...Thanks again Ray. God bless you. Peace. :) ,Jake
Just so ya know,I read somewhere that Ray hates being described as being "a humble person". He says it sounds to self loathing. Instead,he'd like to be thought of as a man who seeks practice humility. there is a difference. He's a man of STRONG character. I see his point.Ray is a really great guy,a role model,a steward to us all by sharing his love from within;gifts both musically and by his example. I want to say,Ray is a good ,regular guy with such a deep heart, beautiful mind, and soul. Ty Ray
you can tell he's a very humble and serious man, though one who can have a laugh as well. he also seems very sweet and considerate, I mean we all think the same thing about Lady Gaga, be he managed to say something nice.
toughlightyear me either! But it was funny! I don’t think he says things like that publicly very often, not that he usually talks with these people in cheesy interviews often anyway...but I prefer his style of music, and people who sing, write, and play their stuff.
Instead of a his acceptance speech he had a pistol in his inside jacket pocket in case Lady Gaga comes out of her egg. I thought that was really funny!
He reminds me of the artist who taught me to paint, great at making art but uncomfortable with the marketing bullshit. Pre show award, glad we saved air time for all the shallow twits singing pop garbage.
Grammys2015 even worse than usual, big money has turned big talent into Cruise ship entertainers ( no offense to cruise ship entertainers) The New Basement Tapes was talent creating works of art and was ignored completely.
When he speaks he sounds like Kermit the frog's nephew, and when he sings he sounds like cultural appropriation. It's like audio blackface and it's offensive. I just don't get it. And he has fans?
It's so nice to see Ray's sense of humor come through. He should smile more often because he is a handsome man. Oh, and that voice --- AMAZING!!!!
yep

Humble, sincere, thoughtful, AND incredibly talented. Definitely, one of the select few celebrity figures I actually admire... Love this man!

Best Ray interview ever. Thanks for being honest man. You said what we all were thinking.
i am so in love with that man! Ray LaMontagne... is my hero.
he seems so down to earth and it's great to see how humble he is, and that he has a nice sense of humor!
His voice is so soft and comforting

I nearly fell out of my chair at his Lady Gaga comment. ACE!
I'm waiting for the Ray LaMontagne remix album feat Lady Ga Ga, Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg. It's going to be off the hizzle.
Who knew he was that awesome!? I did - it is RAY LAMONTAGNE.
I love his sense of humour. XD
F yes! Ray at the Grammy's!
Ray LaMontagne has that Zack Galifinakis humor about him....the both have beards.
Instead of a his acceptance speech he had a pistol in his inside jacket pocket in case Lady Gaga comes out of her egg. I thought that was really funny!
i hate that they pull in humble people into the popular realm and they expect them to be as conceeded as the rest of the stars
Man he sounds NOTHING like his singing voice.
He reminds me of the artist who taught me to paint, great at making art but uncomfortable with the marketing bullshit. Pre show award, glad we saved air time for all the shallow twits singing pop garbage.

I've often kinda whispered to myself "Soothe me, Ray" as I'm putting his music on. Totally agree with you.
she is in an egg.... hahaha classic
1:06 "For gods sake..."
@paniac5 The suit never makes the man. The ends never justify the means.
Ray is trying hard to be diplomatic. He's saying she's in an egg' I,m sure he's thinking I hope she stays there!!

I like Ray's suit, but hey you didn't have to dress all up! But, it's the Grammy's I know!
hahahahahahaha

This hurt to watch.
This got real awkward haha... Good thing the interviewer was on his toes to prevent it from getting worse. Good reporting skills there, kids.
What a weirdo
Real life and soul of the party 🤢
