It is ridiculous that I find people defending him. He steals money from orphan children and the blind man who takes care of them. They reject him but do not tell him about him. Instead of entering the house, he acted cowardly and allowed a demon to kill several children. Instead of taking the blame for his actions, he let a good blind man who had done good to him take the blame for his actions. His mistake, and he does not regret it. He treats Zenitsu arrogantly, bullies him, does not respect his teacher, and in the end he becomes a demon, which is just the definition of selfishness.

@@lettuce6749 I only said the facts and what is actually mentioned in the manga, and even if he was young, his actions were selfish and caused the killing of a group of innocent children. He also does not improve his character and continues to bully Sentsu, his arrogance and disobedience to his teacher, and in the end he became a demon, causing the death of the person who taught him.
Children, especially orphans usually end up repeating their bad behaviour when they're older if given no guidance, clearly he didn't have any, plus he was one of the orphans himself, children that young steal all the time

He kept some kind of vases in front of the Temple Bc it keeps Away demons .but one of the kids ( kaigako The Kid with a collar)betrayed gyomei And destroyed the vases So the demons could get in when the demon got in gyomei told them to hide behind him the kids didn't beacouse the loved him So much So they tried to protect him but gyomei thought they Are behind him the demon killed all the kids except kaigako And the little girl, the little girl ran Away And gyomei kept Smashing the demons head Till sunrise(gyomei was Born with a lot of physical strenght) the little girl ran to the police and told them that gyomei killed the Kids (beacouse She was confused) So gyomei Went to jail.(Idk how long) The Reason why gyomei Is Blind Is when He was a Kid He had an extreme Fever that made him go Blind. Douma is actually better than him, he loves Inosuke's mother even though he is a demon, he didn't want to kill his mom, he wanted her to die naturally , until that he wanted to stay with her. But his mom found that he is a demon, so she ran away, thrown inosuke into the river to save him and got unfortunately devoured by douma. I accept that Douma is the pure definition of Psychopath., but Kaigaku born manipulative and evil....

Kaigaku has no reason to live. First he kills all the children in that orphanage and ruined Gyomei’s life. Then became a demon slayer and ruined Zentisu’s life. Then he became a demon and an old man had to commit seppku (I think that’s how you spell it) he’s worst then Douma.
Gyokko is the worst between Kaigaku & Doma. Kaigaku wasn't taught what is right or wrong, he wasn't guided by anyone regarding the right morals, idealogy or philosophy in life because he was a homeless orphan who stole just to survive even one more day. With no one to guide Kaigaku about what's right or wrong, he just happened to create his own philosophy; the survival of the fittest, which implied that he just had to be stronger in order to survive, disregarding other human lives. Can he be blamed for not randomly knowing what's right or wrong when no one guided him? "But Gyomei was Kaigaku's adoptive parent, he surely guided him" true, a kind person such as Gyomei must have attenpted to guide Kaigaku, but a change of morals & guidance are not a simple path, it takes time & effort, especially someone as broken as Kaigaku. He is cruel, selfish, an idiot & just a being deserved to hate, but I can't really put the full blame for him as much as Gyokko. Doma is the result of bad parenting. He was born with rainbow eyes & just a majestic aura to have around, so his parents just treat him like some sort of God's messenger due to him being unique. He was highly praised & asked to being guided by people who also believed he was, and it immeadiately became a whole cult. Just like Kaigaku, Doma also had no guidance from anyone else, since everyone thought he was a heavenly figure to be praised, and Doma didn't really believe in afterlives, stating that it is just an optimistic fantasy made by humans in order to make themselves believe that doing good by being selfless would bring them to an eternal pure divine paradise (Doma basically believed that suffering to save others in order to go to an eternal divine paradise is just pure coping mechanism). Doma just had a mission; to "save" others from suffering by killing them off & absorbing them, he believed they would be one with him & this is the perfect salvation for everyone else. He is cruel, nihilistic & also deserved to be hated & die, but Doma just happened to also have a different philosophy in life because he also wasn't given guidance by anyone else, and he 100% completely believed that he is doing is for the sake of helping people. Whereas Gyokko is one a whole another level of being evil. (Gyokko's name as a human was Managi, I'm just going to adress him as that). No, Managi wasn't an orphan. No, Managi was given regular parents & he lived off a somewhat regular childhood life. He's just plain insane, he saw his parents' decaying drowned corpse as entertaining art & started off k*lling innocent children because it's fun & they're just pieces of art. He lived a normal childhood life unlike Kaigaku nor Doma, but decided to become a diabolical pure evil murderer. Both Kaigaku & Doma were still understandable, but completely unjustified for their horrible actions, whereas Gyokko/Managi is completely not understandable nor unjustified (in my opinion, both Gyokko & Enmu are the only real 100% pure evil demons).

In order to save himself he said the demon could eat Himejima and the other children. When the demo arrived he instantly k!lled four kids, and Himejima told the other four to hide behind him. Three of them ran off probably thinking that a blind, skinny, and weak couldn’t protect them. One kid sayo I think, stayed, Himejima beat the demon but when ppl arrived, sayo said Himejima k!lled the kids. He went to prison for murder and kagaya saved him from being executed.
Honestly... Kaigaku's reaction to things is one of the most realistic in demon slayer when you think about it 😅. Unlike the other slayers, he bases his morals and instinct off of fear and survival for himself. I couldn't really get mad at him for what he did given if I felt the same way he did about life and was in the same position I may have done the same💀.
He's literally the most human, like if I was an orphan, 6-8yrs old, no I wouldn't sacrifice my life for kids who kicked me out because when you're a kid the only things you care about revolves around yourself, he's definitely well written
Fun fact: Gyomei always thought that the other children ran to save themselves but they were actually running to give some Gyomei time and space to run away with them, causing them to lose their lives in the process.

For the people who don’t know : So basically Demon Slayer is a anime/manga where there are demon’s slayers and so demons. There are many flash back so these is the one of the most powerful demon’s slayers. Okay so his name was Gyumey (sorry for the grammar idk) and when he was like sixteen he welcomed orphelins. He was weak before and he ate so little.. for the children.. One night, this fcking child not respected the rules of come back home BEFORE sunset.. The night the demons go out and they can’t afford sun.. He deal w the demon and just betrayed all of the children and his savior.. He showed him where was the house where they were 8 children and Gyumey.. But Gyumey was so smart that he put the ashes of a flower that chased away demons in front of his door. the traitor extinguishes it to allow the demon to devour it. JUST PIUR GET AWAY... and the worst is the rest... the children didn't listen to gyumei, and tried to run away but were eaten. Only one listened to her and... She survived BUT when people arrived in the morning she told them: “The man killed all the children, he’s a monster.” gyumei was locked away.. because the demon's body was turned to ashes because of the fire he had NO proof.. She didn't even get recognition. and gyumei after all has forgiven them and even feels guilty for not having saved them.. under the pretext that the children don't really have a conscience and that they only think about themselves. it's normal.. I HATE THEM FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, all their fcking children so egoist.. Sorry for the paragraph u can ask me if u didn’t understand some things.

Kaigaku have done that pretty Bad move (Even I would have hesitated but more like fighting the demon if if I were in his place and especially so young.) For me personally I don't find him as bad as Gyokko.
Afterwards he doesn't like him because he stole money from the Temple, and if I'm not talking nonsense it's them who threw him out of the temple so having the demon is not his fault and apparently "the dangerousness" of demons where was taken seriously so throwing a kid at night isn't good tho.

Kaigaku has no reason to live. First he kills all the children in that orphanage and ruined Gyomei’s life. Then became a demon slayer and ruined Zentisu’s life. Then he became a demon and an old man had to commit seppku (I think that’s how you spell it) he’s worst then Douma.

Gyokko is the worst between Kaigaku & Doma. Kaigaku wasn't taught what is right or wrong, he wasn't guided by anyone regarding the right morals, idealogy or philosophy in life because he was a homeless orphan who stole just to survive even one more day. With no one to guide Kaigaku about what's right or wrong, he just happened to create his own philosophy; the survival of the fittest, which implied that he just had to be stronger in order to survive, disregarding other human lives. Can he be blamed for not randomly knowing what's right or wrong when no one guided him? "But Gyomei was Kaigaku's adoptive parent, he surely guided him" true, a kind person such as Gyomei must have attenpted to guide Kaigaku, but a change of morals & guidance are not a simple path, it takes time & effort, especially someone as broken as Kaigaku. He is cruel, selfish, an idiot & just a being deserved to hate, but I can't really put the full blame for him as much as Gyokko. Doma is the result of bad parenting. He was born with rainbow eyes & just a majestic aura to have around, so his parents just treat him like some sort of God's messenger due to him being unique. He was highly praised & asked to being guided by people who also believed he was, and it immeadiately became a whole cult. Just like Kaigaku, Doma also had no guidance from anyone else, since everyone thought he was a heavenly figure to be praised, and Doma didn't really believe in afterlives, stating that it is just an optimistic fantasy made by humans in order to make themselves believe that doing good by being selfless would bring them to an eternal pure divine paradise (Doma basically believed that suffering to save others in order to go to an eternal divine paradise is just pure coping mechanism). Doma just had a mission; to "save" others from suffering by killing them off & absorbing them, he believed they would be one with him & this is the perfect salvation for everyone else. He is cruel, nihilistic & also deserved to be hated & die, but Doma just happened to also have a different philosophy in life because he also wasn't given guidance by anyone else, and he 100% completely believed that he is doing is for the sake of helping people. Whereas Gyokko is one a whole another level of being evil. (Gyokko's name as a human was Managi, I'm just going to adress him as that). No, Managi wasn't an orphan. No, Managi was given regular parents & he lived off a somewhat regular childhood life. He's just plain insane, he saw his parents' decaying drowned corpse as entertaining art & started off k*lling innocent children because it's fun & they're just pieces of art. He lived a normal childhood life unlike Kaigaku nor Doma, but decided to become a diabolical pure evil murderer. Both Kaigaku & Doma were still understandable, but completely unjustified for their horrible actions, whereas Gyokko/Managi is completely not understandable nor unjustified (in my opinion, both Gyokko & Enmu are the only real 100% pure evil demons).

Before he joined the corps he raised orphaned children, one day one kid, I think his name was kaiguyki or smthn (ask someone else for a definite answer) anyway, the kid didn’t make it to the house before nightfall and I countered a demon. In order to save himself he said the demon could eat Himejima and the other children. When the demo arrived he instantly k!lled four kids, and Himejima told the other four to hide behind him. Three of them ran off probably thinking that a blind, skinny, and weak couldn’t protect them. One kid sayo I think, stayed, Himejima beat the demon but when ppl arrived, sayo said Himejima k!lled the kids. He went to prison for murder and kagaya saved him from being executed.

Honestly... Kaigaku's reaction to things is one of the most realistic in demon slayer when you think about it 😅. Unlike the other slayers, he bases his morals and instinct off of fear and survival for himself. I couldn't really get mad at him for what he did given if I felt the same way he did about life and was in the same position I may have done the same💀.
He's literally the most human, like if I was an orphan, 6-8yrs old, no I wouldn't sacrifice my life for kids who kicked me out because when you're a kid the only things you care about revolves around yourself, he's definitely well written

Okay so his name was Gyumey (sorry for the grammar idk) and when he was like sixteen he welcomed orphelins.
He was weak before and he ate so little.. for the children..
One night, this fcking child not respected the rules of come back home BEFORE sunset.. The night the demons go out and they can’t afford sun..
He deal w the demon and just betrayed all of the children and his savior.. He showed him where was the house where they were 8 children and Gyumey..
But Gyumey was so smart that he put the ashes of a flower that chased away demons in front of his door.
the traitor extinguishes it to allow the demon to devour it. JUST PIUR GET AWAY...
and the worst is the rest...
the children didn't listen to gyumei, and tried to run away but were eaten. Only one listened to her and... She survived BUT when people arrived in the morning she told them:
“The man killed all the children, he’s a monster.”
gyumei was locked away.. because the demon's body was turned to ashes because of the fire he had NO proof..
She didn't even get recognition.
and gyumei after all has forgiven them and even feels guilty for not having saved them.. under the pretext that the children don't really have a conscience and that they only think about themselves. it's normal..

@milenazon6724 he also made Gyomei get blamed for their deaths. 4 of the kids were killed instantly by the demon. The other 3 kids didn't listen to him because they didn't believe that a blind man could defend them, so they ran and died. He only managed to save a little girl, and he kept beating the demon until sunrise. Gyomei went to prison for murder because the demon burned away and the little girl could only say that "He killed everyone, he's a monster" referring to the demon, but the authorities believed it was Gyomei she was talking about, and he was charged with murder, But ubuyashiki helped him
