I agree this is a bad take. Remember when music wasn’t all about how many clicks a song gets? There’s so many artists out there that produce because it’s what they love, not to be the best. It’s not always a competition, and for some reason it seems sunny is 100% focused on if something makes money or not. I have no doubt dream is not worried about money whatsoever.

Minecraft is not a dead or dying game, but it has seen a significant decrease in player count, downloads, and viewership on social platforms since 2020/2021. Dream will likely never make a Minecraft video that matches those view counts or even close to it again. People seem to forget the majority of Dreams fanbase found him in COVID times, once COVID started going away so did his views.

I care, A lot. being able to sing and sing well is what makes a artist great, at least for me.
There are so many different styles and genres of music that make it so it's not necessary to be a skilled singer. Some types of music are heavily dependent on skilled singing, but it's a drop in an ocean compared to all the others that don't require you to be skilled. Not to mention a skilled producer can make a bad singer sound passable, and even really good depending on the creative vision for the song.
Had to stop the video, dying game dying audience is SO out of touch its UNREAL. Minecraft is NOT a fucking dying game, saying that is kind of hilarious. totally took me out of the video.
Sunny has always had some weird takes, but this one really seems so out of touch. Even xqc disagreed with a lot of it (or so it seems). Anyone who's in the Minecraft community can tell he only made this vid for easy views, as are most videos from sunny. fake it til' you make it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Minecraft is NOT a dying game, but it did have an insane uptick of purchases and player count in 2020/2021 (Dreams peak years), not to mention the most popular game to watch at the time on youtube, it isn't as popular as it was when Dream peaked. Its not and probably never well be a 'dying' game, but views on youtube for Minecraft, and even Minecrafts actual playercount, have decreased a ton since 2020.

I dont really care about drama and stuff like this. I dont want to necessarily take a side but i do kinda feel bad for Dream and get what hes tryna do. He became famous and saw many people asked for a face reveal so he did it. But he didnt expect all that to go downhill so he tried music and all sorts of other ideas to keep him popular. But honestly i dont really think there is much for him to do.
I feel bad for him too. I absolutely HATE how people just try and take him all the way down like he is the worst person on the planet. Everybody goes through something in their lives and people deserve to be forgiven despite their actions. People just never think about themselves in the same situation as dream. No matter how hated somebody is, I will still feel bad for them. Even if their actions speak poorly.
But i do feel like its the wrong chat to write this one. Xqc's chat keep making jokes about him Defending him and stuff like that. I get its just trolling but they honestly expect everyone to be bad just because they dont like them. I don't think Minecraft will ever truly die out, but looking at the actual facts, it wouldnt be wrong to say 'dying', The most popular server (hypixel) had to increase their server size to 100,000 in 2020! Now they average 45-55k/a day. Its a crazy popular game, always will be, but COVID helped it sky rocket in veiws, and now that COVID is gone, so are a lot of those extra players and viewers.

I enjoy dream's content. Personally I think the thing that killed him is the fact that he doesn't do manhunts, or really much of anything anymore. I don't really care about the face reveal at all, so I have to assume that there's at least a good amount of other people out there who are just waiting for more content and don't care about any of the drama or anything.

@@imzeat4448 If you are referring to effects on vocals, 1st thing is that EVERYONE in the industry, unless you are specifically doing a raw recording (uncommon) uses pitch correction, filters, splicing, etc. It is an issue of money, if you had to record over and over to get one full perfect take, your costs would be crazy high. Musicians are not cheap, one drummer gets paid 250$ an hour, and that was 4-5 years ago. Everyone uses all of these editing tools because it saves money.

Minecraft took off again in 2019/2020 because everyone was stuck at home. A lot of the main DSMP people (GNF, dream, sapnap) were NOT regular streamers, were NOT regular CZcamsrs, they never really were true content creators, they just lucked out with their personalities and timing. Dreams channel did not die because of the face reveal, nor because of Georges allegations, Dreams channel died because his wave came and went, and Minecraft as a whole has somewhat faded back into unpopularity.
