  • YO WHATS UP! This is a Button Up Shirt Sew-Along that has become one of my favorite shirts lately. This is the very first time I have never sewn a pattern and didn't have to make any fit adjustments to it. Hands now this is a great pattern and I hope you enjoy the sew-along.
You can find the pattern here:

Although this was filmed a few years ago, I am sewing a Halloween fabric version of this shirt. I was ready to give up because I was completely in the dark on the collar attachment but you really showed how to do it! Thank you for the great tutorial video. My hubby will now get his shirt🙂

I am in my 70's and decided to make a shirt for my grandson (I have not sewn clothes for over ( 50 years) an I could not understand the pattern instructions when it came to applying the collar. I knew I did it wrong but could not figure out how to fix it. I spent hours looking for someone to show me how ( computer and CZcams were no help) then I came upon your video. Bless you Bless you. Very concise and easy to understand you are wonderful. Thank you.

I am so glad I rewatched your video on this shirt. I'm going to sew this up for my husband and after reviewing the sewing instructions on the guide sheet, although they were clear, I wanted to see how you sewed yours and like your method(s). I made notes and am excited to get started. Thank you for sharing. It's hard to find sewing video's for mens wear. I've bought your T-shirt pattern and that's next.

I've never sewn clothing or used a sewing machine before, and for some reason thought it would be a good idea to sew a shirt for my dad. I was using a slightly different pattern, but this still answered almost every question I had during the process. The instructions that came with it were super confusing for a beginner, but watching you go through the steps was a big help. Thanks!!

Wow, what a great video that highlights the key points of sewing a shirt! I've done a regular collar/collar stand shirt, but this bowling shirt tutorial was just what I was looking for to learn how to sew on the rolled, or camp, collar. I fully enjoyed this video and learned a lot and you've inspired me to give this style of shirt a go! Great fabric choice too!!! Thank you for this!

This is great. Thank you. I'm modifying a shirt by bringing in the shoulders and this is helpful to me because I'm reattaching the sleeve by taking out the side seams. It was nice to be able to see a sleeve attached that way, as I've got an old machine with a flat base.

Great sewing job and awesome video. I have a pattern for a woman's shirt with the same type of collar in your video. The pattern instructions for constructing the collar have always confused me but your video provided a good deal of clarity on that. My only critique is about the contrasting white fabric you used. I kind of went a little 'blind' staring at it, as it was impossible to see any of the stitching that you did on that fabric. The finished garment however, looked fantastic!

First of all: Great channel! And thank you for sharing your knowledge. Second, As far as the pattern pieces you used to help you cut your actual fabric, where do I purchase them??? I don’t know the exact nomenclature. Ive been looking for them for a long time!!!
