After learning that Howie's son is a keemstar Stan, it makes a lot of the questions that Ethan was asked make sense, Alex tried to set this up like it was a gotcha for Ethan and it kinda makes for some cringy moments, like usual, Ethan is just too honest and genuine to get got like that

The hosts did not know enough about the guest and it really reflected on the questions they were asking. It felt like someone wrote the topics out from a couple of clickbait thumbnails they saw on youtube/twitter. I would feel attacked in Ethan's position.
That's why Ethans so chill, he doesn't feel attacked by much anything. That in itself is a very pleasant characteristic to have. Part of his charm, no?

The episode was so funny, Ethan and Howie dynamic is definitely entertaining. My annoyance is the parts where Howie and especially his daughter were trying to be hard hitting, knowing they have little to no knowledge on what they were trying to be hard-hitting about. If you don't do your research why even take it there? You know you can't adequately rebuttal and just showed professionalism is quite there yet. The leafy comparison was real wild 😂. Next time if you don't have time to research just have a normal conversation and ask questions that the guest can talk about. Don't go out trying to debate that's embarrassing.

From watching since the beginning though I can tell Howie thought it would be a massive hit podcast instantly. He's really trying to grow it by having any guests that can get him views and I'm all for it! Obviously he just wanted Ethan on to help get exposure, It was fun, it was kinda awkward, overall it was a unique blending of two personality types.

I think Howie is just playing the straight man, being intentionally reserved and nervous to counter the anything goes controversial persona Ethan was playing into this episode. Watching Howie's reactions elevated everything Ethan said and I have to imagine Howie being the long time professional comedian knows exactly what he's doing in that sense. I'm sure some of the nervousness was real but exaggerated for comedic effect.

This is why I appreciate Ethan so much. He always speaks his truth and if he makes a mistake he’ll apologize for it and acknowledge it. He listens to his viewers whenever something is too much. Many people will assume he is controversial but if you actually watched his podcast, you’d understand that he really isn’t. He does a bunch of goofs on his show most of the time. The H3 Podcast literally is the highlight of my weeks.

One good thing Ethan is great at is interviewing which thankfully helped him be a good person to interview. He basically ran this show for them. Ethan knows his guests not just the footnotes about what other people think they know about them. Take notes Howie and get to know who you are bringing on because y’all barely knew your guest.
Ethan took this interview over he even started to direct the crew! He can’t help himself. Loved it! I didn’t know Howie had a podcast. Will be watching more.

So the thing about Ethan is it’s easy to judge him based on all the controversies you see of him online. But if you follow him and the podcast you know the type of person he is and truth be told, he’s probably one of the most honest people on CZcams. He speaks his mind but also is very happy to acknowledge his short comings and will apologize for it. You’ve got to understand the nature of doing live podcasts in itself is risky and to add to that someone like Ethan who likes talking about current affairs can be pretty dangerous. But him and the boys there manage things really well. Definitely seemed like Howie and the team didn’t really research much on Ethan and we’re pretty quick with judging him.

It was very clear that Howie does not respect Ethan and thinks that the drama in his life is trivial due to Ethan's persona. This man's inability to read the room was in my opinion, significantly more offensive than anything Ethan was saying.

I came because Howie said so in the call from the newest H3 pod episode.
As an H3 fan, it’s so odd to hear other people outside of the H3 universe describe Ethan as controversial.
This was inspiring to watch and made Me appreciate the h3h3 podcast even more than I already did. Ethan is outspoken and true to himself even if that means being disliked. His crew research and prepare for every topic and guest. While Ethan and hila make the atmosphere enjoyable and fun for the guests and audence. If I can be honest here, it seemed like they read 3 articles and started the interview. Silencing him the whole way because Howie wants to keep up his mainstream "family man" persona. I'm just happy that content creators like h3h3 are weeding out the fake, Ungenuine, highly produced, money seekers that see youtube and other social platforms only as another way to make money.. all that said. Great episode you guys!
