I'm so glad you did this. I've been using beetles for a while now. Most of my nail polish are gel and most of them are beetles. They are great and I highly recommend can't beat the quality and price. If anyone want to try before they get it beetles also do smaller 8 or 4 polish set.

Around 6:20 when you're talking about the reflection of your face... I don't know why but I'm dying laughing seeing the little reflection of your face on the brush flatten out as you pull the brush down 😂😂😂😂😂
Let me tell you the absolute horror I felt when I noticed my reflection during editing.. I was like "OH MY GOSH CAN PEOPLE SEE ME APPLYING POLISH IN MY PAJAMAS RN"

Damn that is a heck of a kit! I might finally delve into gel polish! And for the question I used to do food demos and I was always hurting myself 😂 there was a first aid kit devoted to me.

My sister bought some of these for me to use on her and we were both blown away by how smooth they apply and how many stunning colors come in a pretty inexpensive set!
I got this kit and October and I LOVE IT. If you like gel just buy it. So worth it in the long run. I have so many colors from this brand that I’ve bought afterwards.

I LOVE when you do gel polish swatch and reviews. I love watching you but I only use gel polish ( I still watch ever video you put out though don’t worry ) so I love when I watch something I may want to buy. You’re the reason I started getting the Madam Glam polishes after seeing the Ho Ho Holo collection when you swatched it.

I love beetles... I got the galaxy cat eye kit and the glitter topper with it is everything. The winter set I got also has the prettiest pearl shimmer color.

I love Beetles gel polish! They have a lot of great colours and I've hear the top coat is awesome. I haven't tried the top coat but it's definitely on my wish list haha.

ive been using beetles exclusively since i got in to gel polish a year ago! it was a relatively cheap starter kit, and it's great quality!! ive bought about 5 packs from them in total!
Beetles is my FAVORITE gel brand. In fact, I just ordered a new set from them today, along with new top & base coats
Perfect timing! My husband bought me one of the sets for Christmas and I just used it for the first time last week. For the price, I was very impressed! I don't like the brush though but the formula works great for what they are. I am very rough on my hands for work, especially with covid (constant washing and sanitizing) and they have held up so well! I like to keep my gels on for about 2-2.5 weeks and I'll easily get there with these.
Beetles was the first brand of gel polish I bought and I wasn’t expecting a ton bc of the price but it’s my. FAVORITE!

I've purchased the Beetles gel polish kit last year during Black Friday shopping and got their Kaleidescope collection (spring/summer colors) and they are SO pigmented. 🥰😭

I bought the 6 pc holiday collection they have in 2019 and was super impressed. They had a gorgeous red that was like a dark winter berry and forest green cream, a jelly formula red glitter and a green glitter both a very bright shade and the green actually had holographic glitters as well, then a gold glitter and silver holographic glitter all four glitters could be used as toppers or in about 3 coats as a full coverage, I have gotten so much use out of this kit and they are very large bottles. I also have tried the foil gel glue they make and I have been so happy to have it cause before I found it I was using regular foil glue and my manicure would last a much shorter time because the top would split off at the foil glue but with a gel version it lasted a long time. But as a warning while the polishes are very low odor their foil glue does have a strong smell.
I have been looking at this kit. They look great. I was at target and saw a new collection from Sally hansen insta-dri. It was called prismatic shine. They look beautiful. Insta-dri is my favorite from Sally hansen

Hello, Kelli, and thank you especially for all the 101 videos! I am interested in gel nail polish, however, I am new to all of this, and don't know how to apply or remove the gel polish without damaging my natural nails. I am also not sure what products work best with gel polishes as far as nail routine products. Do you have a 101 / tutorial video that goes over this information? I have not yet bought any gel polish or gel polish products yet, but I am seriously considering picking up the one featured in this video with in the next two weeks. Thank you so much for sharing, I have watches so very many of your videos, and have seriously learned so much! The information you share, has inspired me and helped me find the courage to learn this skill. I am even braving some basic nail art now too. You are amazing, and thank you again, for sharing!!! :)
hi!! i know this comment is 8 months old but im in this same position now and am wondering if you ended up getting this kit or even diving into gel at all, and if you figured out how to apply and remove without damage?
Thanks for showing this kit. I've wanted to try and with your code I went a head a ordered today. I can't wait to try gel polish for the first time. I work in a warehouse and regular polish only lasts for one day. I'm hoping to get a week or more with gel polish. I also have to keep my nail short for work so maybe this will help as well.
Oh you're going to have a lot of fun with these! Make sure to dehydrate your nail with remover or dehydrator before applying so the gels last longer!

I love Beetles! They are so affordable with frequent discounts and I have collected over 500 of their colors at this point. They also have great customer service and will replace sets if yours comes damaged. The only thing to be aware of is that some of their sets have duplicate colors from their other sets. It hasn't bothered me too much since they aren't very expensive, but it's something to be aware of.
Hi good morning! :-). Just came across this video, as I am really interested in starting to do my own Gel nails at home, due to such expensive prices to have them done at a salon. I am very new at this, and was just wondering if this is a one step Gel application, or is this awesome gel top coat applied AFTER building up the nail with base steps and gel builder?...hope you can help, as I am so interested in this product and love your detailed excellent video :-).

Hmmm. I haven't delved into the gel polish world as of yet. Really liked the last polish, reminds me of Holo Taco's Cheap Champagne. As for the dumb injury... when I was about 11 or 12 I used a pair of scissors to cut a hole into the top of a shower curtain. Well.. the scissors slipped and I sliced my left index finger pretty deep. Didn't need to go to get stitches but I've had a scar on my finger ever since, which reminds me to use a hole punch and not a sharp object. 😂🤣
Can a person use this gel polish and then use sally hansen quick dry for nail stamping?
I love beetles. I first used modelones base and top coat, but theirs kept making my nail beds feel a burning sensation when curing. And then after, my nail tips would be wavy when i removed the gel manicure. Now with beetles, it takes longer to remove the polish, but nails look healthy after removal. And most importantly, no burning sensation when curing.
Also for that lamp, can all your fingers be cured at once? I have a mini lamp and my thumb can't be done at the same time as the others.
I have it and it's a huge lamp. My whole hand or foot can fit at once.
I legit thought this kit was going to cost a lot more than it is. That’s very impressive! I like that the lamp is wide and has no base too.
Yeah it's definitely one of my better lamps haha!

I've used this brand. Its is great. There's another brand with a kit that I purchased thru Amazon as my beginners kit called Joytii. Reasonably priced as well. For now I'm obsessed with the Red Carpet brand. Can you do some swatches on that gel brand?

Gel is longer lasting than regular nail polish. Gel lasts 2+ weeks while regular nail polish lasts ~1 week.

Wait did you use a peel off base coat under these or did u use a regular gel base coat. I would've had to use a peel off base coat because every time I use gel polish I ruin my nails because I'm so impatient and it takes like 2 hours to remove all 10 fingers. But those are super impressive. Awesome video!!❤❤
Haha oh yeah sorry I forgot to mention - I'm using peel off base!! Otherwise it would take way too long to swatch lol

That's a great question and I forgot to mention in the video - I actually used peel off base coat for the swatches so I could just pop them right off after trying!

Personally I prefer regular nail polish, because I change my manicure about twice a week! But I do enjoy gels if I know I have to keep my mani on for a week or longer.
