Yes please darker to light
Yes plz dark brown to blue & purple ..
This company sounds so cool! I had no idea services like that existed. Your hair looks gorg 😍
Fantastic job! Your hair looks great! Thank you so much ....exactly what I was looking for!!!
i just ordered my kit! thank you 🙏🏼
I fell in love with you two videos in.
Would you give us tips on wet styling hair? I’d appreciate it so much! I could definitely do with less heat styling which I just began a few weeks ago. Already my hair is looking fried.
Previously, I’d been air-drying my hair for past 6yrs but also haven’t been styling my hair at all!
I miss looking nice and kept up.
That outline tip was great!!!
I loved zenon when I was a kid!
I have natural hair rn about a level 5 or 6 and I was thinking of coloring my hair blue. Obviously I would have to bleach or lighten it before adding the color. If I bleach my hair for the purpose of coloring it would I still need to use a toner?
Really love your vids. Subscribed. Hope to see more. Excellent tutorial. Really. Have been going in blind for about a year now. I feel much more secure in doing my color after watching some of your vids. You should be charging consult fees! Very informative. Thanks!
First... you're adorable 💗Next... your hair is beautiful!!! So happy to find your channel, just subbed (after watching a few vids 😜). Excited to see your channel grow - warm wishes (oh yeah, def darker for autumn/winter )
Heather Anne thank you so much! It really means so much to me 💗
Can you tell me which shade did you choose when you went dark?
Hi there! I've just recently find your videos and I love them. What level is your original hair?
Just seen this video and I’m trying esalon!
Hope my hair turns out as good as your did
Hi, do you have any tips on how to go from level 5 auburn brown to a cool toned level 5 brown?
Ok quick question my roots are pretty grown out and with the color I want it won’t be two shades darker so I wouldn’t need filler for that, how ever my blonde highlights which is pretty much the rest of my hair (at least 10 inches) it will be much darker. Does this company provide the filler? Or recommend a filler at least?
Love this color and it looks so good on you.
+Autumnoel thank you so much and thank you for watching 🤗
Hi, thank you for this helpful video I really appreciate it and just subscribed. I just have a question, I am ordering mine, I have dark brown hair but some greys too so I just want to cover the greys and keep the same colour, so I chose dark brown, tone neutral, type permanent and developer 20 volume, is that correct please ?
I have a question, how should I go about with removing highlights/box dye from my hair?
Do I need to put developer in color if I blech my hair first? I'm going orange/red from brown
I have a question first I love your videos and then I was wondering what is the best Sally’s brand to use for gray hair lots of gray hair thank you very much
Debbie bea age beautiful
Beautiful! What color did you get?
Hi there I just love your videos but I can't seem to find a video to help me with my dilemma. I don't want e Salon . I want to color my own hair with color and developer but the problem I'm running into is I'm getting gray hair and it seems I almost need to color every three weeks but regardless whenever I do color I can't ever seem to get my roots as dark as the rest of my hair . Then it felt like it was getting dry coloring so much even tho I wasn't pulling it through to my ends so I thought I'd try a demi permanent and it didn't seem to want to color my gray much at all. Can you help, should I be doing my roots darker to get them to match. Thank you
Fantastic job☺️👍👌😍💖💖💖
Ok super random, I love shaking the color and developer together 🙈 I don't know why its so satisfying. But I love this concept and you look great with or without highlights 😍
Tiffany Day hahaha I love that, I mean it’s basically doing a science experiment so I get it!! You’re so sweet, thank you 💗💗
Me encantó tu vídeo tienes un cabello hermoso
Love the color and your hair is so shiny!
Thank you! It turned out so great and no damage, woo!
@@castlesandcandy @Morgan Berticevich did your Friend's Mom love the haircolor
@@castlesandcandy @Morgan Berticevich did she????????
Thanks! Which shade at esalon did you go for? This is the shade I want. I just took their quiz and chose 4.1 for myself, but I don't want to go too dark!
Hi! I had to go back and look :) mine was 6.13 beige. I mostly wanted to get all back to one color so just to cover my lightened ends, 4.1 may be a bit dark but depends on where you’re starting :) chat with the colorist they’re totally open to working with you!
this color looks beautiful on you
Thank you so much 😭💗
Looks great!
Thanks so much for watching!
Hi are you able to do a dye your hair lighter vid?
I typically have to use two bottles for my hair since it’s thick and a medium length. In the site it shows the my will just sent one bottle. Should I be worried that it wouldn’t be enough?
And also, love the videos !
Victoria Maldonado I do too! As far as I know they throw in a second bottle free with your first order but when you’re explaining your hair quiz it asks about length and thickness and that probably also helps them determine how much you need :) thanks for watching!
Love this video, but no cape your a professional! Look forward to more videos! 🥰
Yep, I don't use a cape when coloring my own hair. Sorry!
@@castlesandcandy okay maybe you could do a haircut!
Stop trying to make the cape happen Lauren, it’s never going to happen.
Love u i just recieved my first order from esalon im so exited to try it
Yay hope you love it!
Morgan Elizabeth yeah I did like the costumer services and the product itself but the result are not like I expected I’d did get the same color of my hair nothing changed and the colorist said I couldn’t go lighter though
Hello! I have a question, I’m going to fill my hair then dye it brown, when you wash the red out do you use shampoo or do you just rinse it out really well with water? Also after the brown do you shampoo then or also rinse out well with water?
After you color your hair simply rinse out the dye until the water runs clear. It's best to wait approx 4 days to shampoo your hair. Hope this helps.
Question, I have a lot of hair. A lot. My hair reaches passed my butt. Do they give you enough to color it all? Cause I buy my dye from Sally's and I use 4 of the boxes
Natalie George I have a lot of hair density wise and it was enough for me- there was two bottles but with that much length I imagine you might need two kits or more! They have you fill out a survey with length etc so I’d express that in there and discuss it with your colorist to ensure you get enough!
what developer should i be using for going darker, black to jet black?
S Kardash eSalon will formulate for you depending on your current hair and what you want to achieve
My hair looks evenly dark blonde but half of it is dyed and the other half is virgin dark blonde. Should I do something differently?
I have been wanting to try e salon.
Nows the perfect time :)
Hi, I have dark brown hair that tends to go orange. I went to Sally and lady recommendations t14 pale ash blonde and 050 a violet additive. Little nervous cuz my hair is dark and watching videos everyone that used this combo had really light hair. Help please
Sounds like it work to me! I’m not familiar with the color line but it won’t lighten, it’s just to counteract the orange you see. Blue also works but is much harder to work with so I’d stick with violet!
I am struggling with making sure my ends match the roots. Even with the semi-perm color, and waiting until the last few minutes to apply, I'm left with darker ends. I want to go more perm now, but scared to take the plunge. In this video, your ends also look different than your roots. I know you started with lighter ends which seemed to make the difference in the outcome.
What actually differentiates professional color? I had a colorist tell me Wella and Ion from Sally’s is “box dye”.
Is it just the quality of the ingredients? And what to look for that would make something “not professional”
Christina Sampognaro I’m wondering as well
I really can't answer your question as I am not a hair pro but you can buy the same stuff the pros use on E-bay. Just take a look, some of my favorite professional colors are the Igora line by Schwarzkopf. Wella Illumina, Koleston Perfect, Framesi, Keune, and Kenra. All of these lines have demi perm and perm dyes and also toners if that's what you're looking for.
Box dye is different from professional color because the colorscale is different. Also is box dye not professional because you need a pro who looks at your hair and defines the color you can go for depending on the porosity of your hair, the undertones of it and your skin, maybe the color you previously put on.. when you put box dye on your hair it could easily fail, because of the different colorscale and because I think that people very much don’t choose the color because they know which undertone they need in the color to neutralize a pigment oder enhance it , they choose a color because it looks good on the box. SO PLEASE SEARCH THE COLORSCALE FROM THE DIFFERENT MANUFACTURES/ COMPANIES THAT PRODUCE HAIR COLOR OR SELL THEM LIKE WELLA, LOREAL AND CHOOSE A PROFESSIONAL COLOR!
Did you fill your hair first? Thanks !
Jess Who nope, no need! I wasn’t going more than two shades darker :)
I took the eSalon quiz but I’m still not sure what the process would be for me…
I have bubblegum pink hair right now but my roots have started to come in and my natural is a dark chocolate brown. I’m sick of pink and want to go back to as close to my natural as possible. I just want it to blend well as it grows out.
The quiz didn’t have options for vivid colors so i’m just not sure what I need on the scale/when it comes to filler. I also don’t want to have to keep redoing it so would the brown stay? Hope this makes sense. Can you help?
Vivids are a whole different ball game. You’ll either need to strip the hair or bleach them out :( it’s a big process and one I recommend seeing a professional for as it can be really damaging
How do I do the back of head for the roots for my hair ? I have no one to help me
My question too
Great video ! I have a question though .. so you asked to stay away from boxed dues and I wanted to know how is esalon different ? It is not ammonia free as I checked in their website . Please guide us a little more on this . Thank you . Much love 💕
Ammonia isn’t really my concern- box dyes have a set developer level which is typically more than needed because it has to serve a broad range of people. There are also things like metals etc round in them that aren’t regulated. Essentially they’re ‘one size fits all’ while eSalon is custom for you :) thanks for watching!
Can you let me know about box dyes? Do they make your hair grey?
...girl of the 21st century!!
Hello, Love your videos! I imagine many women will be trying to die their hair at home in light of this pandemic. I ordered from Esalon and gave them the color that my colorist was presently using on me. It was majirel 4n 1/2 tube 7.13 , 15 volume. I sent this to the esalon as well and they sent me a color but sent 20 volume instead of 15. Is this a problem???
me !!!
It should be fine but if you have concerns reach out to them and I’m sure they’ll be happy to help!
I use to dye my own hair but now I go to the salon
+Heather Hernandez totally understand that! I still go to the salon for some things because it can be so much easier and relaxing 🤗
Do you need a filler for esalon
Another comment asked the same question, and she said she didn’t need a filler because she didn’t go more than two levels darker. Hth
Deverias hacer otro video pintando tú cabello hermoso pero de verías dejar ver cómo te enjuagas tu cabello hermoso
I like after
What if you have salt and pepper and you want to color but not commit?
Anyone in quarantine wanting to dye their hair?
Yes, but do they have colors for natural aging redheads? It seems very few do. I was really wishing you had posted the video about how to lighten your hair at home. Maybe to will at some point. This was really helpful though. My hair is much longer than yours, so that's the only challenge- especially at the back.
Good video and I like the darker color much better on you. Since you're a hairstylist I'm unsure why you needed a colorist's opinion though - instead of just buying professional dye and picking the color yourself.
I did the video to show the experience for what an average consumer would have
do u still need to have a filler for this
I didn’t because I didn’t go more than 2 levels darker :)
How come you didn't use a filler that you talked so heavily about in the last video?!
Because I wasn’t going more than two shades darker :)
@@castlesandcandy thanks!
Are you based in canada?
No, the US. Though I wish it was Canada these days 🤪
Do you ever run out of product having such long hair?
For sure 😂 the struggle
I wish you had shown doing the back of your head. That's what got me worried lol
If you section and slice as I show you shouldn’t have an issue
Trans woman here. Seems like my community is not understanding to my needs. Nail salon hacked my natural nails off i just wanted filed and painted and the hair salon I went to fried my hair to "straighten it" and it was already straight... took my metalic purple completely out of my hair :(
I'm done with my local salons and doing everything at home now. I loved that color but I'm afraid if I used the same color on my hair now it wont comeout the same even though it's the same exact dye.
I’m so sorry for those experiences. Are you wanting to do the purple again? Is your hair lightened at all (bleached or blonde) or was it applied over dark hair? The good news is most ‘punky’ colors are direct dyes and are actually pretty easy but they do wash out quickly! If your hair is lightened the color will be more
Vivid. You can definitely do this at home!!
See id get my hair bleached and dyed professionally but at my salon it costs almost $300 just to bleach
Just that cost alone is prohibitive for a lot of working-class people. I would have to wait a whole year at my rate of pay to have someone bleach/damage my hair. Sorry but any time you bleach you do strip color and damage hair even with Olaplex. This is why the DIY movement in hair is so strong, people can't afford a $300+ hair appointment along with toner touch-ups which run $50 up, depending on hair lengthen and thickness. I'm sorry to anyone who is a styling out there, you guys do a great job but my job does not allow me this luxury, yes luxury, to afford you at this time. Perhaps one day, when I am actually paid a living wage instead of breadcrumbs where I have to DIY everything to death!
