I saw Sevendust a few times back in the late 90’s/ early 2000’s. One memory that stands out, going into you saying that Lajon seems like a really good guy, is one when I saw them back in 2001. I was 14, on vacation in Myrtle Beach with my family, and saw that they were playing at The House of Blues near where we were staying. My parents dropped me, and my 11 year old cousin off at the venue and told us to be careful. We were standing around before the bands started playing, when Lajon walked past. We went up to him and introduced ourselves, I was a massive fan of Sevendust and the self titled album was one of my favorite records at the time (and is still in my top 10 favorite nu-metal releases and one I go to when I’m trying to explain to people how closely nu-metal and hardcore were to each other). He was super cool, and when we explained that it was my cousin’s first concert he asked us to come with him. He brought us to the balcony overlooking the stage, where the other members were and a few guys from the other bands playing (Drowning Pool, and Stereomud) and he said we could sit up there and watch the show, which we did. During their set Lajon shouted out my cousin and I and kept pointing to us, still up in the balcony. So, to offer some concrete evidence to your assumption, he’s a super awesome guy!
Dude that's a great story. They brought a kid up on stage when I saw them last year and dedicated Angel's Son to him since he had lost his Dad. I wasn't super close to the front but I could still feel the power of what Lajon did for that kid. It's no wonder quality guys like that can stick together so long and still put out excellent music.
I think you mean Myles Kennedy
??
The lead singer for Alter Bridge is Myles Kennedy, not Myles Davis
@@macwhipple4083 ohhhh hahahaha that's funny of me to mess up xD
I Love all of their albums but here is mine.

very interesting placements
@@jaydennis1999 I'm just basing them on how often I listen to each album
@@zacharygustafson8708 that makes it even more interesting haha
Very interesting ranking! Your system makes for a unique ranking! I’ve been a fan since 99. Got home then went right out and bought the first one. I’ve also seen them on the kill the flaw tour, where I got a half of one of Morgan’s drum sticks (had a full one but a fight ensued so I escaped with half) my list differs from yours a bit!
12)next
11)black out the sun
10)chapter 7
9)blood & stone
8)kill the flaw
7)animosity
6)all I see is war
5)sevendust
4)cold day memory
3)seasons
2)alpha
1)home
Interesting ranking and I can definitely see your preference for the older material. I had access to Home probably since 2004, but I never really listened to it until years later. It really is a staple of time and it's aged really well. Thank you for watching \m/
My Rankings:
12. Chapter VII

2. All I see is War
1. Animosity
Animosity was the first album I bought and still my favourite.
I really.like this list almost identical to my choosing. I have been a Sevendust fan from 1999. Animosity is the album that solidified me as a true fan and will always be my #1. The only albums I would switch in this list is 'All I See is War' one above 'Kill The Flaw'. Thanks for the review, I really enjoyed it n
Hey thanks for watching. That’s pretty wild that our lists are that close alike, considering it’s so many albums. They’ve really done well these last few albums
I have Animosity at #1
1a. Seasons, BOTS, KTF, B&S
1b. Home, Self-Titled, Alpha, Chapter 7: Hope and Sorrow, TT&B
1c. Cold Day Memory, AISIW
Next is their weakest record but still solid
P.S. This is my favorite band btw so Consistent, no bad albums, Amazing vocalist, amazing drummer, and amazing guitarist.
I lived next door to Morgan in Dunwoody back when they were called Crawlspace.
They had just got signed with Metal Blade . And Morgan invited me to their signing party at the Cotton Club.
I didn't even know what kind of music they played until I went there. Cool ass dudes . Humble
That's awesome that you knew them back in the day man
All the albums are great but my favorite has to be animosity followed by seasons and alpha. Alpha is underrated
13) time travelers and bonfires
12) kill the flaw
11) all I see is war
10) blood and stone
9) black out the sun
8) cold day memory
7) next
6) chapter 7
5) self titled
4) home
3) alpha
2) seasons
1) animosity
Very interesting take on your rank, and I agree that all their albums have value. Alpha is pretty damn dark and heavy, and I like that. We mostly agree that their golden years were at the turn of the century \m/
holy shiz. Fear is my absolute favorite. That's crazy lol
Animosity: How’s damaged the weakest song?!
I challenge you to a duel haha
I’d say redefine is.
It was really a nitpick, the whole Animosity album is solid and there aren't any weak tracks.
You're mistaken about the self titled album, Morgan and Clint did a bunch of vocals on that one too. Like, listen to the verse in Speak, literally all three of them are singing over each other, and how about Morgan's screams in Born To Die? Iconic!
ah, thanks for enlightening me on that. It makes sense that they would've been contributing the whole time. My main point was that it sounded like Lejon did more harsh vocals on this one and over time delegated those moreover to the others
@@jaydennis1999 Yeah I agree with that, LJ's vocals sound more raw compared to other albums, idk if it's the production or just him trying out different stuff before like completely defining his vocal style.
@@jaydennis1999 Born to Die is the only song LJ did was straight barking vocals instead of clean vocals really underrated song especially that ending where Morgan is going off.
i have a totally different ranking which shows that all their records a great.
12. Blood & Stone (have to listen to it again)
11. Kill The Flaw
10. Black Out The Sun
09. Seasons
08. Home
07. All I See Is War
06. Sevendust
05. Cold Day Memory
04. Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow
03. Animosity
02. Next
01. Alpha
i just don't get why NEXT is always so low on lists. It is such an amazing record. How can't you like Ugly, Pieces, Failure, See and Believe
Bruh, Ugly is one of my favorite tracks from them. It just seems like at the time, that some of their middle albums didn't really break new ground or seemed recycled. I do agree that all their albums are great on some level. I have like a 50 song playlist of 7D that has the best tracks off of all their material too. Thanks for watching and sharing \m/
Next is also a favorite of mine top 3 at minimum! next to Alpha, Animosity, and Cold day memory. I gotta check out chapter vii album never heard it before. not huge on their self titled, home, or black out the sun. the rest never heard yet
Hey dude, did you hear the new Morgan Rose EP that just came out yesterday? I love it! It’s so amazing!
I have not just yet, but now I want to. Thanks for the heads up \m/
@@jaydennis1999 You’re welcome dude! It’s an amazing EP he sounds amazing on it! I highly recommend it! It’s a 10 out of 10! Hope you like it dude!
@@Patriotfan108 finally listened to it, and I definitely enjoyed it \m/
@@jaydennis1999 That’s great dude! I’m glad you liked it! I actually bought a Physical copy of it from his site because I liked it so much!
Check out, South side double wide
my list would have been 1) self titled , 2) home , 3) season , 4) black out the sun , 5) animosity , 6) next , 7 ) cold day memory than the rest are very meh to me
lol best sevendust record will always be selftitled first record. i will never get why everybody loves animosty so much
Yo if that's your preference then that's cool, self-titled has a lot going for it. Animosity is just their most well rounded, ahead of it's time, and most consistent album. I get if you like their more raw 1st and 2nd album. Home was kinda the perfect median between 7D and Animosity.
So much build-up, get to the ranking already.
thanks for reminding me to timestamp that, I sometimes ramble on these
