As an Italian it's so nice to see one of our bands getting some international recognition. Believe me, they are really refreshing for Italy as well. Music here was much more pointless before them
even though i‘m not italian, i agree very much. they do add something new and refreshing to the italian music landscape, especially with their wide range of vibes from ballads to glam rock. i‘m proud that i voted for this band, they really deserve the award having made their way from steet band to the big stage!
I suggest you take a look at "fast animals and slow kids" also, another italian rock band (less famous) they're really good! We have some good music here but it's never famous sigh

And I suppose singing in Italian never helped our cause, but traditionally it's the winner of the Sanremo festival that gets to go to Eurovision, and Sanremo's main rule is that the song has to be in Italian. Because it's the "Sanremo festival of Italian song". So I suppose that's an endemic handicap.
All the more, I'm happy people are getting interested in the lyrics.
