paying a premium to a group subber to check out your cards, and still getting low gem rates, makes no sense. Why would you just throw away money like that?
Right? Then again, I'm a pre-inspection guy as well but my guys never run into this.

@iwioz No guarantees on a 10, I agree with your opinion there. Perfect card not getting a 10 is debatable. I haven't had this experience so far but I know all of our experiences have varied.
true. he was trying soooo hard to be nice... smh ,, there website says they do not clean or necessarily prep each card,, more of just provide the inspection service and ability to mailout in buik ,, so RGL would have to say how he cleaned and prepped each card
I have a Bray Wyatt orange flash ringside. Had no idea they were that rare
We all believe the print run is around 40-50 on those. I've watched maybe 50-60 cases of Select blasters get ripped, and we've talked about how many cases they made. Speculation is 10-15k cases x 20 boxes. If so 40-50 per ringside orange flash is the correct number

My gem rate has been way down too, used to be about 70% and its been lower and I seem to get 1 inexplicable 6 in every order as well.
I think that mike trout gem was from one of my baseball repacks!

Personally think you’re submitting too many at a time, but the principal problem is trusting someone else to evaluate.
Agreed, too many 8s and lower to pay for pre-screening.. whatever that entails
Fax!! Couldn’t agree more! He should try submitting 30-50 at a time and look them over himself. 18 cards got an 8 or lower out of 151 is pretty bad considering he paid to have them looked over before.

I love these types of videos. It’s a big rush sending cards away and opening up those slabs to see what you get!
I use SGC for my PC slabs, I just prefer the look of those over PSA. Just my preference!
The low grades might be caused by the sticker auto not being placed properly on the card, it might have a wrinkle in it. I cannot see it very well in the video, but that was my experience with psa grading in the past.

I'm noticing something about those Bowman U cards and bad grades... Scary to think about considering I want to grade a bunch of my Michigan cards. I got lucky with my first three JJ McCarthy cards, but man is PSA tough on that set specifically.

Just go Thru SGC for bowman U crazy not too i have a penix jr auto 10/10 its literally the same price as a psa 10, and it was 9$ To grade without bogus fees
I wish at the end, you really went over those lower grade cards, just to see why they got 6 grade, a psa6 needs to have a dent/crease, crazy RGL
so i can easily be wrong...but pulling directly from KK sports website, during evaluations they do not "clean, alter, or restore cards during the evaluation process." they simply look at centering and surface issues. from what ive seen on videos cleaning is important. id bet good money if you cleaned the cards before sending to KK you get more 10's. but then one can argue at that point dont pay for evaluation, you should be able to check centering and surface while you clean. just my two cents
Submitted 19 cards (Value Bulk) on Nov 18th, 2023 and got them back super quick on Dec 27, 2023.....i got 13 PSA 10's, 5 PSA 9's, & 1 PSA 8.... biggest card was a Khamzat Chimaev 2023 Select Octagon Action Signatures Tie-dye #/25 POP 3..... submitted 1 card at Value Plus level and have yet to see it graded haha its a 2023 Optic UFC Purple Stars Opti-graph #5/5 Khabib Nurmagomedov
I think they are grading little harder honestly but thats just my opinion everyone trusts them as leading grader but i also think they dont wanna give away psa 10s bc they need to maintain certain thought that grading isnt easy most stuff u pull straight out of packs sooo i dunno what else u can do

How long does it take for return ?
I’ve been wondering does anyone know what a psa 10 Bryce young DT go for? I pulled one from my 1st blaster I found at my local retail store and definitely wanna get it graded
Enough money to spend the time to examine the card, decide to send it in for grading, and then waiting the year for the return

Hold up. They charged you for the evaluation service but didn't perform it? How did they know that did not happen? Do they have review/approval controls at KK to make sure they have documentation of providing the services they charge? That explanation seems very shady to me. I would understand if it was 4 cards, but 500? Nah. They have a serious operational control flaw in their business model if this happens. You aren't the first and won't be the last until someone asks them the questions for transparency for their customers. Thanks RGL.
Yeah that is not a good look for KK at all. I stopped using them 2 years ago and doing myself. Smartest move.

It is a third party looking at your cards before they go to a grading company. Completely useless service and don’t fall for it
I'm new to collecting/selling and I am intimidated to submit because I don't know what is worth submitting and what doesn't grade well
Bad corners or off centering.. picture on the card needs to have even borders.. also you would be surprised the amount of fingerprints cards have on them.

I only watch/collect football so those are the videos I watch si you may have said otherwise on a video I didn't watch, but I've ALWAYS heard you say you are a collector.
No way all of these are for a PC, so to me this looks more like a pile of cards a flipper would have.
My question- Are you a collector, investor or flipper.
To some it doesn't matter but it does to me.
Again, do what you want it's just something I'm curious to know.

He's a collector and a flipper, you can be both. Selling your excess cards can help you buy other cards for your collection.

Not a fan of grading. Old school I guess, I’ll take the raw cards but I get it, still kinda pricey to grade

Please remind me not to send my cards to the same grumpy grader you had there. We have been pretty fortunate, hitting around 75 to 80%, but we are super picky on what we sub and it they go through a whole review process between 3 of us.
The real truth about grading is that there isn't much, if any, difference between most 9's and 10's.
I have a thought if you don't -- don't pay $2 per card for someone to analyze your cards, especially if you are going to get a lot of low grades anyways. What is the point of paying $2 per card? You could submit a lot of cards in lieu of paying the $2 per card...most of all, learn to assess your cards yourself so you don't have to pay someone to do it for you...look at corners, edges, surface and centering...it really isn't overly difficult if you take the time to learn...look at the 8's you got back and see if you can spot the issue, so that you can learn...look at the 10s also, so you know what a 10 looks like...
In a perfect world I would 100% take the time to evaluate every single card myself, and submit them directly to PSA myself. I've had a high success rate in the past when I submitted myself, including with many high-end $3000+ cards.
In reality, I am a full-time content creator and a full-time group breaker, and a husband/brother/son with family obligations as well. I spend 80-90 hours a week already doing hobby-related activity, and have learned that I can't do everything and need to delegate certain tasks (i.e. evaluation, prepping, submitting).
apparently that guy has all the time in the world to look at cards.....life hasn't hit him yet.....plus all the cards you have would take a mountain of time to analyze...no thx@@RunGoodLife

It’s unacceptable to get low gem rates when you have it prescreened. These videos have been painful considering you pay extra

I really wish the industry would move away from PSA. Too inconsistent, expensive, and their slabs aren’t even close to the best.
I understand they wrote the book on grading, but man they are dinosaurs. Computers can grade much more fairly, quickly, and cheaper.

Their pre grading service is trash period. Yo they ffed you over 2 times. Fool me once it’s on me fool me twice well you know the saying.
PSA over rated as, only for flipping really, Least with sub grades you have somewhat of an explanation as to ehy card doesnt get a 10 etc.
Its still hard to phatom people really think spend time assessing your cards........
