These look like the paintings Norman Rockwell put out while doing time down in Danvers State Insane Asylum. Not his best work, to be sure. But still you have to admit, he really was probing the edges of some vast new creative territory. And even though none of that is true it still proves one thing: that something similar did happen to someone who also happened to paint for a living.
They sure had a way of making white people with blue eyes creepy looking back in the 50s and 60s. There's gotta be some reason behind the creepiness in these ads?
